TNR Happenings June 25, 2018
There's still time to get a ticket for DCME!
DCME is the TNR event of the summer (Boot Camp is LHNC, ha ha) and it’s coming soon. We have brand new workbooks for July 14th. With weight loss, everyone knows how to do it, yet so many people aren't willing to do what's needed; DCME explores and creates solutions to GETTING IT DONE! This is not taught anywhere else. Thinking that all DCs produce equal results is as absurd as thinking all major leaguers have the same batting average and RBI production. THEY DON’T! Being able to effectively do DCMEs will add the adventure, the results, and, of course, the income that few, if any, other DCs will ever see in their entire careers. DCME fuels all areas of your practice including wellness big time. There will be two very special guests: Kenny Smoker and a mystery guest who was a DCME patient of Myagi. You don't want to miss this! If you want to get Navy Seal results with practice members you have to train. You don’t deserve to be ultra-successful, you earn it!
No coaching calls on July 2nd & 3rd
Dr. Kevin will be on his annual holiday to Michigan. He will be here through Thursday of this week. TNR Headquarters will be closed from Friday, June 29th to Sunday, July 8th and will reopen on Monday, July 9th.
35 Year Wedding Anniversary
Dr. Kevin and Dr. Julie are celebrating their 35th wedding anniversary today! They met and fell in love in Chiropractic school and the rest is history!
Boot Camp Update!
Hope you’re having fun watching Dr. Kevin’s fundraising updates about LHNC. Check this out:
There is so much happening and it's happening so fast! It's like a combination treasure hunt, mad scramble, Amazing Race, and humanitarian outreach all wrapped up as one. If you have any DC or ND colleagues that want to get involved, have them call LHNC central. Putting a laptop at your front desk and creating a kiosk for donations makes it really easy for practice members to donate. Micro and macro donations are all welcomed. If you haven’t already, create a LHNC wall in your office. It sparks interest all year round. Also for members participating in donating 5-10% of their pre-pays to LHNC, you can ask for two certificates: one for the practice member and the other for a wall of them in your office. This is almost more effective than a wall of pictures; both kids and adults will look for theirs on your wall for instant street cred. This fundraising really makes a difference for the kids so let's show the world what we've got!
Make a Baseline Assessment Wall Decal
This is a great way to have the Baseline Assessment literally in front of your practice members' noses. The best places to have them are in your exam room, x-ray room, and adjustment areas. Constantly refer to this chart with each and every practice member. When you speak the language of symptoms and pain only, you miss an opportunity to educate your practice members about Chiropractic. Can you hear something? It’s the retention meter and it’s going tick, tick, tick as time is running out with that practice member. Talking symptoms will encourage people to not participate in wellness or corrective care. Remember, at this point they are not prospective new patients, they are inside your office where you get to show off your wonderful communication and trust building skills.
Practice tip of the week!
Beware of the plateau! It can sneak up on you so fast. Always be in an expanding mindset, not a contracting mindset. Don’t get too down or too high according to your stats. If you are fueling growth in your office, you will grow: you don’t have to watch over a plant for it to grow. Summer is a great time to have events in your office. They don’t have to be complicated, time-consuming, or resource draining. Keep them simple and people will respond. Once people are around you in whatever context, they will get your vibe and will want to be around you, especially when it comes to their kids.
DCME concepts
As counterintuitive as it sounds, the size of a problem does not dictate the urgency of the solution. This is especially true when it comes to children. Hypnotized by the medical model, many parents are okay with serve illness and limitations with kids. These are not the people who will commit to the process of regaining their health. As bad as you feel for their circumstances, you cannot unwrite universal principles. DCMEs are not regular cases, period. If you were a personal trainer, you wouldn't be able to lose the weight for your clients, no matter how hard you try. Even with total commitment, it’s tough sledding for both the doctor and the parents. Discernable results frequently take many months to see and lots of parents just won’t wait around that long. Do you remember the Sweet Spot concept? People outside of the sweet spot want the results, they just won’t commit to the process of producing results.
The Head-to-Head date after DCME remains at large
The day before was gobbled up by Dr. Teri, but Sunday is still open for anybody who wants to supersize (a DCME Seminar and a H2H during the same weekend!) their TNR hustle!
When was the last time you were the patient?
As a photographer, you are used to being behind the camera, not in front of it. When you are the doctor, you are used to being the doctor, not the patient. What happens when you are the patient? It is an entirely different perspective. Most DCs never see it from the perspective of the patient. If you aren’t continually aware of their perspective, you will lapse into the medical model of diagnosis, classifying disease, naming symptoms, excessive note-taking, insurance paperwork, etc. Dr. Kevin will be doing a TNR style presentation of being the patient at the upcoming DCME. This will be a little SNL and a little dose of reality of going behind enemy lines.
LHNC fundraising news
By now everyone should have the $100 LHNC wall decal hanging in their offices. Why not have one in your kids' bedrooms? Why not have one for your man cave or in your family room? Invite your practice members who are really getting involved with the fundraising to Boot Camp. Having VIP practice members with you will open a whole new level of advocacy in your office. If you think they liked you before, going to Boot Camp will create raving fans in your office. After we posted the latest LHNC fundraising video last week an office from South Carolina contacted us and wants to help out with LHNC. Just seeing a video on Facebook connected this humanitarian DC with LHNC. Send videos out to your social media contacts so you can connect with people who want to help. LHNC was started by DCs but is not limited to DCs/NDs/practice members, etc. Open it up to the world!
