TNR Happenings 8.29

The TAO of TNR on September 17th

The art or the Tao of being a doctor or coach is almost never spoken about. It is too hard to describe, is too esoteric, and is too far removed from the world of ordinary affairs that could care less. The overwhelming embrace of the digital compels people to be analytical, closed-minded, subservient, boring, and easy to control. The art or Tao of course addresses specific learned skills. In our case, the use of those skills is to produce healing and the expression of life. Yet art goes beyond the mere technical aspects of an activity; it beckons the use of intuitive responses, draws upon the infinite (not the limited, analytical, research, data), and is loaded with insights, feelings, and emotions. Most of these are deeply covered up and hidden by the ‘necessary’ skills of acceptance, doing what’s right, leaving the thinking to others more qualified who have our best interest (drug companies, armed conflict, and government), and going along with the flow. The study of the Tao or art is like a road map to somewhere and each of us needs to determine where our personal somewhere is. Trainings in TNR are like removing layers of the onion to reveal your true self, your true center. Like tongue-in-groove flooring, there is no beginning and no end, and there are no trainings to avoid. Each builds on the previous. In the world of appearance, your counterfeit self is foisted on you by expectations, opinions, mores, values of society, etc. In TNR, it’s all about self-discovery to uncover your own true self, your true center. Can you say FREEDOM? Discounted tickets are available until August 31st so call today to purchase yours.

LHNC News

Kenny Smoker told me that the people on the Fort Peck and Northern Cheyenne Reservations are still talking about the recent acts of kindness of “that Chiropractic group”. Being in TNR is so much more than merely getting help with your practice, etc. You have the feeling that you are part of something bigger than the sum of its parts. It’s about demonstrating what a group of high resonating people are capable of accomplishing. Without the need for recognition, FaceBook likes, or “what’s in it for me”, we do it because it’s the right thing to do and we are in the position to do it. Can’t you see this is a roadmap for world peace, no matter how dire the circumstances or how long the conditions have persisted? We could go to any war-torn area in the world and we would see similar, predictable changes. What is becoming increasingly apparent on our excursions is the inclusion of family members, VIP practice members, CAs, etc. Having ambassadors for Love Has No Color everywhere sure makes the fundraising, long miles, and assembling of the food cartons a lot easier. Think of the hundreds of people that made our last effort possible, just not the participants. Share the photos and stories with your people all year long at your HAS, during your energy visits, at staff meetings with CAs, etc. Have a Love Has No Color news kiosk right in your reception area. Don’t just show a few pictures and then wait until next year. These kids and others are our responsibility year-round. Their conditions will not change otherwise. They are part and parcel of our lives.

It’s so easy to get run down if you are imprisoned in the limited world of I need to get another new patient, study a new technique, or embrace the newest and best new vitamin or BSO. This newsletter is another way of keeping you in the community of TNR between events and Head-to-Heads. If on the other hand, you see the miraculous and mystery in every person, you can be swept away very easily. It turns into a way of life, bordering on obsession. It’s how you interact with everything and everyone in your life. It’s the rapport you establish in your communication with the universe. It’s the trust you place in yourself and in others. Our practice members become two-way mirrors that reflect their innate greatness under the layers of social conditioning as well as allowing us to observe our own behaviors, fears, preconceived notions, and beliefs.

There are times we need to forget what we think we know. Self-discovery or mastery never reaches a conclusion. The movement toward mastery ceases when vision and passion get narrowed and complacency and comfort take over. We get worn down and become like everybody else. We lose our boldness, we hold our tongues, and our needs continue to be unmet. We start accepting less commitment from our spouses, kids, practice members, and CAs. We start looking the other way at injustices, remaining powerless to step in and do what needs to be done. We keep repeating (without new input) what we know professionally and personally and it drains our movement of the soul. Like writer’s block, if we get lax or cease our training of continual input, our miracle and passion will reach a plateau as boredom ensues. We must find new ways of seeing and begin life anew.

What makes some members want to become once-in-a-lifetime and others merely want to pay bills, just get by, take the easy cases, or not apply and develop their true talents and potential? Why do some individuals spend years (even decades) studying to become the best versions of themselves while others try and give up? Are we speaking of relationships, marriage, parenting, people you trusted, etc.? We are speaking of it all. My mentor was fond of saying this: “Once you are in TNR for a while and find financial success, your real training begins.” With 1200 examples over the past 22+ years, I have found this to be true. Your practice members, your spouse or significant other, and your kids will be the beneficiaries of your prodigious effort to allow the authentic self to emerge. Oh, yeah, it’s worth it. It appeals to the few, not the many. As your guide, I can bring your attention to new knowledge; however, I can’t embody this knowledge for you. Only you can do this.

DCME Confidential

Question 1: I was so thrilled to get this Level 2/DCME and now it’s turned into a nightmare and I have lost all control. What should I do?

Answer: Learn from it and don’t let it happen again. As a doctor, you are in charge; don’t ever forget this. Just because someone pays you a fee, you don’t give up leadership or your knowledge of what needs to be done.

Question 2: I have gone for a while without ‘hooking a tuna’ and I’m wondering if I just am not cut out for this kind of thing. Am I like a cook in the Navy instead of a Navy Seal? What should I do?

Answer: All of us have an inner, untapped potential that can make DCMEs a way of life. It has to be drawn out of you, supported, and put into constant and continual practice. The sense of satisfaction from successfully hooking and helping tunas is unparalleled.
