Tao of TNR Is On March 21st
Is there really anything behind the world of appearance, objects, people, and form? “Dr. Kevin, isn’t there only what you can see, touch, etc.?” With social conditioning, we can get so separated or removed from our True Selves, that perfection within, that we compromise and start acting like we are all alone and defer to acting like everybody else. We let prevailing assumptions about everything rule our lives. This is the social order. Just because it’s socially accepted doesn’t make it right or true. Truly serving people has been eclipsed by the insatiable, soul-less thirst for gold. The Tao, or the way, in most people’s lives has never been seriously considered or made practical. The largest shift in your life begins when you realize their needs are yours. They are one and the same. My son, Dr. Derrick, called my wife for advice regarding an elderly practice member he had to care for at her home. A house visit in the age of AI! Most doctors would ask: what about compliance, liability, or whether my malpractice coverage covers me? Do it out of love for people.
Purpose, passion, and meaning to life are self-generated. No matter how vigorous you chase economics only, you will find out that you are focusing on only one side of the coin. Focus on serving others at the highest level, and your economics will fall in place. Something you learnt 5, 10, or 50 years ago (e.g., in college training) will likely not be relevant today. Could any of your patients tell the difference between a once-in-a-lifetime adjustment and an adjustment from the joint? Before your academic ego puffs up, think about intimate relationships and ask if there are any takers for abusive relationships, mediocrity, or being taken advantage of. How did they happen then? Getting to know the Tao is getting to know your inner self. The Tao, or Life, is a guide to understanding yourself better, to, of course, increase profits, and to preserve and protect life. It’s not a rigid set of regulations, warnings that you are going to Hell, guilt production, or fear-based; instead, it is to get you to stop judging things as you see them, open yourself up to more truth in your life, and live life fearlessly. Call to reserve your spot today.
Love Has No Color
I received a beautiful card from a thoughtful once-in-a-lifetime DC. It contained heartfelt words with three pictures. These pictures encapsulate LHNC. The first was a picture of Michael. He is physically and mentally handicapped to the outside world. We were told he couldn’t speak, was shut down, etc. TNR members who saw him in action on the Reservation at Christmas time or saw him playing the drums in our infamous Don’t Quit Your Day Job house band would disagree. He is a symbol of hope, a kid slipping between the cracks. This doesn’t just happen on a Reservation; it happens in your town, too. Imagine if a great kid like that came to your office? When I look at this picture, I well up with tears thinking about a kid’s life snuffed out because of ignorance. He pays the price of an arrogant, prideful society that puts kids like that away. We failed him, you and me collectively. Is this too deep or too human for you? If so, find a new group to babysit you to spiritless wealth. Some may think, why him and not me? If a kid like this came into your office, would you recommend he come in once or twice a week for a couple of weeks, then see what happens? What would the trajectory of his life look like with a few years of consistent care under his belt? Regardless of your religious beliefs, as a society, we can’t afford to leave one kid behind.
The second picture was a picture of me with Kenny, my brother, friend, and someone I truly look up to. We are two entirely different personalities, intertwined like strands of DNA. He is the most humble, selfless, and knowledgeable man I have ever met. He is part sage, part lifetime advocate for blood people (red). If you are still on the fence about attending the Grief Retreat on May 15th and 16th, interacting with Kenny is worth many times what you will pay to experience his consciousness. I had a similar feeling when I listened to Dr. Guy Reikeman at his ranch, bathed in his consciousness. When Kenny speaks, his voice seems to skip coming out of his mouth and emanates from his heart instead.
The third picture may not make complete sense to most since you had to be there when it was taken. Vernice had just taken us to a small house, it was minus 12 degrees, and there were 14-16 homeless people living in the house with no heat. The sight of people in such despair brought those of us who were serving them to tears. I was unaware that a picture of these homeless people had been taken. Seeing the picture triggered the same feeling of being there: our knees buckled, and tears welled up in our eyes as we witnessed and served forgotten people. I look at this picture often, and although the tears rain down my face, my spirit soars. I am a better version of myself because of serving.
From the Mind of Miyagi
“You cannot heal anyone of his trouble, if it is the result of some mental attitude which he will not surrender.” This quote is from an antique book (well over 100 years old) called The Science of Mind by Earnest Holmes. I found it decades ago in an antique store in NH. It captured my attention and hasn’t let it go since. Have you ever noticed that some people seem to be against you when you are trying to help them? Your innocent, naïve mind asks, why are they coming to me and paying me, when they unconsciously don’t want to be helped. You are yet another piece of evidence that what they have is valid, justified, real, and worthy of sympathy. Suffering makes people feel special.
There is always the invisible beneath the tip of the iceberg. Say a person has a heart attack. Western culture rushes to the scene and does everything it can in the material world to keep the person alive. This is a valuable service, to be sure. Their care plan is to put the person on bed rest, give all kinds of medicine, do surgery, etc., and speculate on why the heart attack happened. The person listens, actually believes a mere guess about causation, and then starts parroting what a doctor who is ignorant of non-physical causes told them. Examples: my second toe is longer than my big toe (a famous doctor of disease), my cholesterol is too high (cholesterol is present in every cell of your body), this is too high, this is too low. It’s like commenting on an accident after it happens.
The physical recovery takes months to years to recover to the point where they were before the heart attack occurred. In TNR, we teach that although the heart attack suddenly appeared, it was silently building for years to decades. The 21-Day DCME Video Program was created to address the mental and emotional aspects of disease, injury, and illness. You don’t climb down the endless rabbit hole of being a lowly paid and respected life coach. Remember, in the world of the ordinary, people are paid to glorify, magnify, and focus on the problem rather than the solution. They classify, diagnose, and worship disease, not move toward health.
With so many people obsessed with disease (they are making new ones up, just look online or on TV), the largest obstacle you will ever face is the mind, beliefs, memes, assumptions, and unconscious guilt of the practice member, not the disease or illness itself. When you really go deep and remove some of the invisible layers of interference to the Divine Guidance System (innate intelligence or whatever you choose to call it), your clinical results skyrocket. You start entering the Miracle Territory because each of your people has only been approached on the physical plane or by a $ 10-an-hour counselor. Both approaches won’t get you there, PERIOD!
Miracle Training
Another look at the ego’s bloodlust is the wish to rule unopposed. The ego only listens to doctors, diagnosis, insurance coverage, and operations that actually validate or rationalize the suffering, illness, disease, etc. I have a long list of people who had lifetime afflictions that were miraculously healed. In reality, they should have healed a long time ago, but people hired professional help that kept the disease in business. When my bat phone rings, it’s usually about a person who closes their eyes to things they don’t wish to see. I have actually seen partial blindness manifest in people who will not let their grip loosen on things they don’t want. If you attempt to inform them of their blindness, they will reward you by firing you, not talking to you, cutting you out of their life, or attacking you. A prophet by the name of Buddha, said the recipe for suffering is attempting to change people, circumstances, or what you are experiencing to what YOU want to happen.
I once had a mentally and emotionally impaired Miracle Training person who had taken on the lifestyle of a sick persona. You name it, and she had it. She looked decades older, was emaciated, was on every drug you could imagine, and her day consisted of visiting doctors, looking online for more diseases, getting a new diagnosis, and creating a passive suicide. That was the tip of the iceberg. Her spouse isn’t a doctor and just thought she was unlucky or had bad genes, when, in actuality, it was self-imposed. Not consciously, but subconsciously created for a reason. Her spouse was very successful, and she was not. Her deep, subconscious thought was that her husband would leave her. She weaponized suffering and the lifestyle of sickness as a shield to protect her from being left behind.
Many reading this will never engage in this level of human suffering. It is hard to comprehend, easy to judge, and to offer simple solutions to complex problems, and just to refer it out to a ‘real doctor’. For those who truly engage with human suffering, you are part of a contrarian group that others will never understand and will not be joining anytime soon. Welcome, you have found a home!
DCME Confidential
Question 1: Have you ever heard of technology getting people in trouble? My patient is a mother who is pregnant, and her fetus has a hole in its heart. They want to operate in utero. A second opinion is to terminate the pregnancy. What are your thoughts?
Answer: Don’t attempt to convince or sway the mother. If she wants to get healthy, the best way is to get under specialized Chiropractic care immediately. It has been my experience that such holes close routinely under intensive Chiropractic care. If she is skeptical and wants to dabble and try a few token adjustments, pass on this one. Life is sacred, and you are a protector and preserver of life.
Question 2: There is a person known to me who is a fundamental religious person who is in daily, unremitting pain from a pinched nerve. Her religion requires that only a female doctor can care for her. I could use a little insight here.
Answer: Let her go with no judgment or condemnation. Man-made, non-truthful conditions are not appropriate for a miracle or the alleviation of suffering.
