TNR Happenings July 11th
Your weekly TNR pulse
Some thoughts while on vacation
For almost 35 years now, the Pallis clan has traveled back to Camden, MI to get back to Dr. Julie’s roots. This year there were 4 Chiropractors, 3 DC2Bs, and about a billion dogs including 2 new puppies under one roof. It made for a crazy, exciting, fun filled vacation. Some observations I made:
> We forget just how rare we are as TNR DCs. One of my relatives mentioned that his Chiropractor said it was time to stop adjusting his cervicals because they don’t move on one side. My son in law Dr. Cliff said, “that’s crazy,” and adjusted him. You should have seen the look on his face when he said that was amazing. As if saying, “I wish my Chiropractor could do what you can.”
> As TNR DCs, we know that you can’t be all things to all people. One of my relatives was complaining about aches and pains and allowed one of the freshly minted new DCs to work on him. The next day when asked if he was ready for his next adjustment he said, “No, I’m good.” Chiropractic can help everybody, but everybody is not ready for Chiropractic
> One of my relatives has a special teenager who is the happiest kid who simply exudes joy all day long. He is developmentally handicapped, and even though he’s 13, he has the emotions and IQ of someone much younger. Secretly, I wonder what he would be like today if he had been adjusted since birth like the patient we saw Cowboy Rick present at DCME last month.
We have the ability to literally create miracles in our practices; miracles that the world so desperately needs. But sometimes, we let ordinary, mundane things like other’s opinions get in the way. By joining TNR, we all chose to be once in a lifetime DCs regardless of current practice size. Have the courage to tell everybody what you know to be true about Chiropractic.
Miracle book in the making
Last few miracle stories to be accepted this week. Thank you to all TNR members who participated in this project. You will want to put your miracle stories up in your office (framed, glassed and matted, of course). Seeing these miracles shared with thousands and thousands of parents who are looking for their own miracles will send ripples throughout our profession and beyond. A portion of all proceeds from the book will benefit Love Has No Color. Anybody reading this book will have a much different take on Chiropractic in your office. It’s going to be a huge referral tool to differentiate your office.
Everything you need on our new website!
Be sure you’re checking this section and the other “members only” pages for all the exciting new updates! We’ve just added a BRAND new section of training videos! Dr. Kevin will be going around the entire procedural wheel and doing an in depth, high level video on each step. You are obviously free to view all areas, but the “members only” section will really keep you super energized between coaching calls, seminars, and H2Hs.
Boot Camp Coming Fast
We’re less than one month away, and this year promises to be the best yet. If you’re planning on attending and haven’t let us know yet, please do so. Logistics are more important this year because of the scope of our activities, distance between Fun Days, driving food to families, community service, etc. Anyone that can bring portable Chiropractic tables would be greatly appreciated.
Siobhan bids us farewell this week
Everyone has moments in their life when they think, “Holy sh**. This moment is going to change me forever.”
My first day at TNR was not one of those moments.
I’d been looking for a job in my field for months when three new job options randomly fell into my lap. But of course, nothing is random. Every single nanosecond has been carefully pre-planned and orchestrated by an awesome Creator. Still, it seemed awfully random to me at the time.
I weighed all the options and was completely torn, but I hesitantly decided to go with TNR. I remember exactly where I was when I called to accept the position. I spoke with Dr. Kevin and he said to me, “Are you all in?” “Yes,” I replied.
But I wasn’t. I was still torn and I wrestled with myself for two weeks, wondering if I had made the right decision. Then Dr. Kevin brought me to Total Immersion. That was where I began to develop the tiniest inkling of an understanding of the passionate mission of TNR. That tiniest inkling was enough. I was all in.
Since then, I have had innumerable moments that have felt like that “Holy sh**” moment. I can’t even begin to describe the amount of lessons I’ve learned, the teaching I’ve been gifted, and the love I’ve received. Being able to soak in the wisdom of Dr. Kevin and the incredible TNR family has been a singular honour.
I can confidently say that, were it not for TNR, I would not be moving to China to fulfill a lifelong calling this August. Dr. Kevin once told me that it was his job to make sure that I left TNR. I must have given him a crazy look, because he continued that he and Dr. Julie wanted to equip me and prepare me to walk out that HQ door with way more power and purpose than I walked in with. And that equipping and preparation will be coming to fruition on August 17th when my plane touches down in Xi’an, China.
It’s taken 22 years, but I’m finally embarking on my own passionate mission. Technically, it has nothing to do with Chiropractic, but it has everything to do with “healthier people = healthier planet”. The TNR concepts I’ve been privileged enough to be exposed to will ring true no matter where I am and no matter what I’m doing. I want to thank each and every one of you for the unique hand you had in helping me pursue my passionate mission. You all have an irreplaceable place in my heart.
And as our good friend Arnold would say…
I’ll be back.
