Your Weekly TNR Pulse

Miyagi in the house!

Power vs Force, food, muffins and desserts, it was a community of like-minded individuals gathered at Taylor Family Chiropractic. The adjustments and role-playing stole the show. How about the board and the ball at 1:00 a.m. in 33 degree weather?  What a weekend it was discussing colonization, memes, the why behind so many DCs playing small, concentric circles, Baseline Assessments, humanitarian model vs business model, and the 6 pillars. There were tears and laughter, stickers that fix all problems magically, and even new attire for Miyagi with a gift from India (thanks Dr. Deb). The economics in TNR are rising…did you hear some of the fees for DCMEs?  A very special thanks to Dr. Julie for all the preparation and special touches at the TNR events.  She even made it to the after party for Sushi!

May 19th and 20the MasterMind and Quarterly TNR Seminar

If you are desiring to bust out of the traditional model of Chiropractic in the economic sense, you must be a regular at MasterMind.  Each time we unveil a BIG IDEA or concept and then detail the practical TACTICS and STRATEGIES to make this happen.  Most DCs are attempting to implement tactics without an out of the box, big idea using the same old business model of Chiropractic with different wrapping.  Whether it's online or offline, it's always a business model (competitive), not a big vision (creative) concept.  MM hatches big ideas and then applies the strategies to it, not the other way around.  Remember that Baseline Assessment was launched at MM.

The quarterly seminar will feature a series of concepts and big ideas for attendees to latch onto.  Gone are the days when newbies or guests would dictate the tone or the level of concepts.  There will be no watering down of concepts.  Most guests will either be intrigued and say run my card or will run for the exits.  Newbies will have to hang in there until it makes sense to them.  If you have a DC that you want to introduce to TNR, this is a great way!  This event, along with Boot Camp and Christmas on the Reservation, are the only events open to non-TNR members.

Practice tip of the week

Stop being a face in the crowd.  This may be a great, somber song by Tom Petty (no, it’s not on the set list for Boot Camp) but it’s no place to be as a TNR DC.  Almost every person you will ever meet will attempt to place you in a category of a face in the crowd DC.  When you continue to play that role, sparks will fly and the ‘can’t afford it’ and  'I’ll have to ask my spouse' excuses will roll off their tongues faster than Carrie Underwood can change outfits at the Country Music Award ceremonies.

Refusing to serve as a garden variety DC takes courage and strategy.  If you don’t apply your communication skills and identity as a category of one with potential practice members' EXPECTATIONS, they will impose their own expectations on you.  No matter how great an experience inside your office, the difference maker is the expectations, not the experience.  Trying to be all things to all people is exhausting and you will end up working for free for the insurance companies or the government.

With all the technology that is readily available from the TNR/Life U videos to emails, video testimonials, biographies, have the courage to identify yourself as not being average or what they expect: a low PVA, adult, low back pain therapist.  You’ll be glad you did.

Have you blacked out the dates yet?

August 9th through12th are the Boot Camp dates for 2017.  Four full days of fun, community service,  and restoring health, hope and dignity to our kids on the reservation.  Adjustment numbers could swell into the 3 to 4 thousand range!  Invite any DC friends that would fit in with our crazy, commando group: the more the merrier.  We will be finally fixing the movie theater/Chiropractic office roof.  We are having two Fun Days, One Summer Camp Day, jail adjusting with a concert, and one full day of community service cleaning elders homes, delivering food door to door, doing home repair, etc.

LHNC Fundraiser

It will begin late April or early May.  Our goal is $150,000 this year.  Use your social media, get your practice members to use thier social media, contact businesses, religious groups, wealthy donors, etc.  We need everyone’s help!  The main expenditures this year will be high quality, non-perishable food and building supplies.  We want to purchase somewhere in the neighborhood of 10 tons.  We want to be able to establish a food bank so food can be handed out all year long.  We will need building supplies to repair and refurbish homes that are in desperate need and to fix the Chiropractic/Movie Theater roof.  The roof continually leaks all winter long causing so much water damage inside the building.  Back packs loaded with school supplies are also needed - we are anticipating that we will need 2,500 back packs.  In addition, we want to purchase mattresses for the kids who don’t have them to sleep on.
