Memorial Day Edition
Memorial Day message
Have you ever wondered why Native American and Blacks were among the first to enlist to serve this country's early wars? Even though the country did not exactly roll out the red carpet as regards to equality, citizenship, land rights, education, and voting rights, these groups demonstrated their commitment with their very lives to this country. Being a David and not a Goliath, you are decidedly an underdog and history is replete with epic stories of acts of courage, bravery and daring against all odds from these underdogs.
What better way to demonstrate our abilities than to produce clinical results when other ‘Goliath’ methods fail over and over again. You have the freedom to use or choose not to utilize third party pay and still be ultra-successful. The courage it takes to step out of the musculoskeletal box and take on some of these more difficult cases speaks volumes about our profession.
We have a narrow window of opportunity for our group of specially trained, highly humanitarian DCs to set the benchmark for the rest of the profession and the world to see. We are not here to convince or prove there is only one way to practice. We are here for DCs with a certain ambition and knowingness that Chiropractic is a whole lot more than what most of society thinks it is.
“Let us offer our prayers to the brave men and women of the past and present who have stepped up to the call of duty to protect and serve this country while we also pray that in our lifetimes that armed conflict will be an unnecessary part of our society”
Dr. Kevin May 2017
DCME July 15th
Memorial day marks the arrival of summer and that means a limited number of weekends to have an unlimited amount of fun. You have Boot Camp on August 9th to the 12th and you have truly one of the crowned jewels of TNR on July 15th: DCME. Other than that, the summer is yours to enjoy. DCME is not only about taking on the most difficult cases and producing results, it’s also about helping TNR DCs increase their belief in Chiropractic. Most DCs outside of our group will do the same thing over and over for the rest of their career! We have some special members who will be presenting cases...LIVE! You need to constantly increase your belief in Chiropractic so that it isn't silently and invisibly worn down by a society hell bent on using drugs and surgery. The after party is always a welcome invitation to commune with DCs of like mind and enjoy some scrumptious food. Please remember, this is a members only, closed door event.
Practice tip of the week
This is going to sound crazy, but here it is…if you’re not using the TNR/Life videos, you’re making your practice harder than it should be. When a new patient comes across the threshold of your office, they are already locked into their beliefs of what Chiropractic is. In other words, their expectations are very low and their commitment will be correspondingly low. Even if your office is incredible, they are not going to exchange their belief expectations for their actual experience. Expectations rule. If they at least view the first two videos via email (you can also send them a biography, welcome email, etc), they will make the decision to honor the appointment or to cancel. The videos are meant to polarize potential practice members, not have them come in your office and create conflict. Year one DCs Christy and Cliff Taylor are blown away with the power of all the videos to generate referrals. They had three referrals over the Memorial Day holiday because of the videos. Christy said: "Dad, these videos really work!"
Boot Camp Update
More people have their teams started on CrowdRise. THANK YOU! We would love to have 100% participation by the end of this week. Let practice members share the link with their social media contacts. Don’t limit it to people who happen to be current practice members. Dr. Teri Dunton, the ‘Weenie Queenie” raised $1,000 selling hot dogs. We are still looking for a big fish that would put us over the top with this year’s fundraising.
The order of priority for this year:
- Back packs loaded with school supplies
- Non-perishable, high quality food
- Fix the roof on the Chiropractic Clinic/Movie theater
- Build an outdoor street hockey rink
- Add an addition on to an orphanage
Our funding will determine how much we are able to accomplish. We are just entering June, so we’ve only got 60 more days to really get the donations in. What if a kid encouraged his classmates to donate $10 a pop! This would be kid power at its finest!
