The Pulse of TNR!
LHNC Fundraising heating up!
Way to go everybody! Every day the Crowdrise donation number has been going up, up, up! Believe it or not, we’ve raised just over $20,000! We’re in the final stretch, so we need you to keep your foot on the gas until the 31st of July. We will be placing the food order today and tomorrow we will order the backpacks and school supplies. Because of your hard work, we will help feed 300-400 families!
Want to know what you’ll be rockin’ out to at the concert? You can receive the Don’t Quit Your Day Job set list in advance, for a $100 contribution (you may even a request a song or two). We’re still looking for a couple of generous donations to put us over the top.
Pods, Pods Pods for Fun Day:
If you are participating in this year’s Boot Camp celebration, let us know what activity you plan to run. Each activity will be a "pod" for the kids to attend. We are having an all day Summer Camp on Friday in addition to 2 Fun Days that will teach the kids life skills, basketball, hockey, etc. Anything you want to teach is fine, but be sure to make it fun and lively for the kids. Some of the things taught in the past have been languages, how to make better decisions, how to live Above the Line, etc. Most people shop at the Super WalMart in Williston (near the airport) for their supplies, whereas some bring supplies with them. If you need any help or coordination, call the TNR headquarters and we will be happy to assist you.
Tentative Boot Camp Schedule:
Wednesday, August 9th:
Fun Day/Carnival in Wolf Point, Montana
10 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Thursday, August 10th:
Fun Day/Carnival in Poplar, Montana
10 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Friday, August 11th:
Summer Camp, Poplar Fairgrounds, Poplar, Montana
9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
** Each child will receive 2 free meals, a backpack and school supplies**
Saturday, August 12th:
Community Service Day | full-day
We will be going door-to-door to deliver food to families in need, cleaning elders’ homes, doing yard work for elders and veterans, and lots of other projects needed on reservation communities.
Please contact TNR Headquarters ASAP to let us know when you will be arriving and departing, who is traveling with you, what activities you would like to do, etc.
Practice tip of the week:
Hang a Baseline Assessment poster in your reception area and your adjusting rooms for a quick reference. Some people prefer to frame it, while others will choose to laminate it so they can write on it with a dry erase marker…clever! There are plenty of ways to use the BA. If there is a concept that PMs quickly pick up on it’s this; linking structural (concentric circles, accumulated layers of injury or impairment) with functional disturbances. It gets the attention of Millennials and Gen X’s who do not participate in the conventional ways of making sickness a way of life for their children.
The paragraph space at the bottom will allow you to see which parents are willing to break from the conventional disease paradigm and enter the unknown into the health paradigm. Remember, all the symptomatic relief in the world will not change the model of disease into the model of health.
DCME 21 Day Program:
It’s finally written and filming begins next week. This will be a practice member product to be done outside of your office. It will be available in the fall of 2017. This will be a must for you if you’re even vaguely interested in handling difficult cases. The DCME 21 Day Program is loosely based on the Accelerator Program, but it goes further with the reprogramming of the subconscious of anyone who uses it. It will help practice members go from where they are to where they want to be, helping those suffering from illness, depression, anxiety, addiction, concussions, PTSD, you name it.
For 21 days, they will watch a video and then do their homework in their online workbook. The 21-day program is a closed door product and is only available to TNR members. There will be nothing like it anywhere on the planet. Also, we are working on creating a message board or chat room so that the users will be able to communicate with each other! No brick and mortar supplies, it’s all digital.
A word about commitment:
The pulse of Chiropractic is not only about Chiropractic, but it's also about relationships, marriage, kids, finances, having a code of honor, and having purpose and meaning in your life. Despite what you have been told, your level of commitment tells it all: not how much talent you have, what your technique is, or what your philosophy is. For those of you who attended DCME, you can find this information in your workbook. It’s the part about the difference between commitment, involvement and interest. Commitment is an all in, Navy Seal type mindset that is very rare in our social order (vs. natural order) based society. Involvement and interest are substitutes for commitment and don’t produce results. A dog shows loyalty to its owner even if the owner doesn’t show loyalty to the dog. When you have a high level of commitment to your PMs, it really doesn’t matter what they come in for, does it? Even if they are rude, opinionated, etc. we treat them with compassion, dignity and respect. We can disagree on their levels of commitment without making them wrong. No matter how much you want to help PMs, you are limited to their commitment level. Most problems in our lives have their root in commitment level. Just because you may have a high level of commitment, don’t force your expectations on others. It’s a recipe for disaster.
