THE PULSE OF TNR !

Dr Rebecca says hi!

Our new member, Dr. Rebecca Muniz Medina, who graced our seminar with her Naturopath husband, Victor, in Atlanta a few short weeks ago, finally got enough signal to call. She has not been able to make her coaching calls after the hurricane. Saturday afternoon she was finally able to get a call through to me. She is opening her clinic today without power and she and her family are doing as best as can be expected. Her kids think its like vacation because of no school. She sends her best to all members. Meanwhile, in St Croix, Dr. Deb has reopened her clinic with candlepower, as well. She is expecting to obtain a generator shortly. Many professionals on both islands have left for calmer waters. It’s amazing to watch TNR people in times of adversity…they show their true colors. They, along with other courageous people, are leading their islands back towards recovery.

Miyagi on October 20th & 21st!

There are still a few members who are on the fence about attending. Please note that this is the last event until Super Academy on January 20, 2018, other than Christmas on the Reservation. I have observed that more aha moments happen at the Miyagi seminars than the other seminars. It’s as mysterious as they come, not simply some technique seminar.

I have been ruined for all other seminars. Period. This seminar – if you have to be talked into it, or think about it, don’t waste the seat, let someone else have it. When you are truly ready, this is the key to the kingdom, but you must be ready for it. Trying to explain this is like trying to explain the sunset to a blind person. You can only experience it…

Is it the mystery activity and being out later than your college days that awaken your sense of adventure? Is it the special guest stars or people who have been touched personally by the teachings of Miyagi? What about the hands-on adjusting that is available at no other TNR seminar? It's plain and simple: it’s about forging your inner abilities into the finest DC you can be. A true one percenter! Note: two of the H2H spaces before Miyagi have been filled by two Canadians.

Practice tip of the week

Beware of praise, beware of criticism. When your practice members (or anyone else) praises you, you just can’t get enough of it. When you get criticism, you feel guilty, afraid of attack or other punishment, and generally unsure of yourself. Maybe you’re getting grief because of your insurance inclusion (or lack of it) and the PM is never going to see your side of it. Maybe a PM is telling you what you need to offer in your office for services. Don’t attack, criticize or judge the person after they have criticized you. This is not easy to do, but it’s the above the line way. It’s nice to get praise, but don’t let it go to your head. When you get criticism, get your pride out of the way and really listen to what that person is attempting to say. It may have a kernel of truth in it or it may be just a vicious attack. It's kind of like water, you need it to live, but it can drown you. Have the same connection of service to people whenever you receive either. Keep your mission clear in your heart and your mind.

21 Day DCME Program is almost done!

There are a few details that still need to be addressed, but it is nearing completion. I am encouraging all members to purchase their own copy. This is a high powered, premium tool whose time has come. This is to be used only with high-level cases. It’s not made for involved or interested people. Watch what happens in your office when your practice members utilize this program. They will become VIP PMs. They will refer in more patients just like them. They will look up to you, respect you, and their retention will be epic. Instead of the doctor and the practice member being separate, they will actually share a common goal and will become unified! All members will be receiving a snail mailer on this so keep your eyes peeled for the envelope!

Christmas on the Reservation is coming up fast!

The dates for this year's Christmas on the Reservation gift raising are October 16th to December 4th. This year we are looking for some out-of-the-box thinking with gift raising. Think about getting the following involved: your VIP people, companies, kids, Boy and Girl Scouts, people in the position to make large donations, religious groups, etc. LHNC was not made to be a beast of burden, but an expression of life that brings joy to the kids on the reservation who used to have bleak futures. We do this because LHNC is woven into all TNR endeavors. We are all one people. Without this humanitarian connection to people, it's very easy to lapse into a self-centered existence. Get your practices and families involved this year!

Scorecards for TNR members revealed!

Most people relate their improvement to new patients, retention, income, etc. While this is, of course, very important, there are also lots of measurements that have been happening that are not usual outside of TNR. Our humanitarian efforts are off the hook. The list goes on: the closeness of parents bringing their kids to Boot Camp, the donations, the building of the skating rink, etc. Last August’s Boot Camp was by far our best effort to date. Our Christmas on the Reservation will follow suit. We are also seeing member after member not being intimidated by disease names and acronyms. A trap is thinking you have to understand something to help. Make a relationship, inspire, and remove interference, regardless of the classification of the lack of health. A year one TNR member asked for help with PANDA and asked if I knew what it was. I said no, just like I said when AIDS first came on the scene. Even though we don’t know all the limitations placed upon the person, if given the chance, we can help them. Health is always the answer. I have witnessed the courage and strength of TNR members who were forced to be in circumstances they didn’t ask to be in, from the death of loved ones to relationship issues, illness, losing children, special needs, etc. It is such a joy and privilege to watch the progress of members, not only in their offices but in their lives.
