TNR Happenings August 5, 2019

7-Figure MasterMind Tickets on sale now!
Purchase your tickets by August 30th and receive a 10% discount. A mailer was sent to all TNR members and it explains the importance of this seminar. This topic has not been formally addressed since 2014 and there are no immediate plans to repeat this seminar. Fear, scarcity, and a limited mindset about economics stop great DCs in their tracks, regardless of technique, academic prowess, or their love for Chiropractic. Also, for the first time at a MasterMind seminar, you will be able to bring your spouse or super CA as a VIP guest. There is a reason for this: you want your spouse or main squeeze CA to be on the same page. Some spouses may decide to coach for a time period after the seminar to better understand themselves, their spouses, and their economics. You may want your CA to start coaching, as well. Guest doctors are not allowed at this closed-door event. This is an event you don’t want to miss!

Practice tip of the week
Be an inspirational figure in your community, not just in your office. TNR is not merely a coaching company; it’s a vision of greatness and bettering others’ lives. It’s way beyond just being good. Be a part of things, like sponsoring athletic teams or eating and purchasing locally when possible. Don’t just do business with these people: get to know them and let them know who you are and what you stand for.
A high school classmate of mine suddenly passed away recently. He was the kind of person who was sincere, kind, full of integrity, generous, and always made things happen. When we graduated from high school almost all of our classmates went to college but he decided to take another route. He wasn’t very good at math and science but he was great with people. He became an electrician and eventually a VP of a large industrial electrical contractor. The company did some illegal, shady things for money and they were caught. The president asked my friend to take the fall and said he would be taken care of, or he would be fired.
He got fired and started his own company based on humanitarian values first, then profit. In the early years of LHNC, he wrote a sizable check in his company’s name and also a personal check from his family. His company employed 250 employees and had over 40 million dollars in annual sales: he had achieved ultra success. He did this without college and by doing something the TNR way: putting people over profit and going the extra mile.
From the mind of Miyagi

Sometimes all the teachings, concepts, and models of practice in TNR are taken for granted. It’s so easy to forget that the rest of the profession struggles with RETENTION. And instead of solving the problem, marketers and sales people continually put out more inefficient, spirit-draining overhead makers that trap unsuspecting DCs. Like a steroid, more new patients will not substitute for a lack of retention. A TNR DC2B who is doing her PEAK internship does 2-4 screenings, talks, and events per week and does even more on the weekend. She has signed up lots of people but most did not show up and didn’t bother to call to cancel. The ones that did show up were low quality and didn’t opt for care at the office. Many DCs are chained to this expensive and frustrating burden. Their offices have to be constantly fed low quality new patients in order to try to survive. This increases their time away from their families and their freedom is gone. It would be so much easier and more efficient if they opted for a different mode.
When you have the ability to create relationships of trust with others, you make a memorable impression on people. You don’t want anything from people; you are sharing what you know about health. Some people will embrace and accept new concepts and others will not. Forming real relationships not only creates higher retentions, it also creates more referrals. Short-term, symptomatic care is not health, just as weight loss is not a substitute for being fit for life. Don’t get sucked in the inertia of a problem that doesn’t have a solution.
Fort Peck here we come!
The excitement is in the air! Temperatures will be on the cool side compared to the 107 degrees that we experienced last year. The kids are counting down the hours! Remember to either bring your supplies for your pods with you or buy them at Wal-Mart after we land in Williston. One of the things Kenny Smoker marvels at is our group’s self-sufficiency. We get things done and when things are not working out as planned, we still find a way to get things done. Remember to thank Dr. Megan for her 3 years of service on the Reservation with Love Has No Color. Talk with some of the parents and elders and ask them their experience with Love Has No Color over the years.
Facebook Live
I have been doing presentations on TNR style concepts on Wednesdays at 1:00 p.m. This week my Facebook live will be on Tuesday at 10 a.m. because I will be traveling to the Reservation on Wednesday. Feedback from non-TNR members is priceless. Lots of DCs outside of TNR have never heard of our type of concepts. One of the episodes was about hiring a superstar CA and a DC wrote that superstar CAs don’t live in his town and he has had rotten CAs for years. He also said people in his town don’t like wellness and won’t bring in their kids. Oh, well.

Question 1: Of the physical, emotional, and chemical insults to the nerve system, which one takes priority?
Answer: Physical insult has traditionally been at the top of the list. However, if you really think about it, emotional is constant and continual throughout your life. Car wrecks, broken bones, fights, falls, etc. are happening constantly. Once an emotional insult registers and goes beyond threshold, it replays for the rest of your life. Hence the importance of quickly removing as many of the emotional layers via the 21-Day DCME Video Program.
Pilgrimages to the Reservation
Dr. Teri left for the Reservation last week with her husband, three of their kids, and their daughter’s friend, Rosa, who came with them last year. They were planning to do some sightseeing before arriving on the Reservation.
Lead guitarist for our band, Don’t Quit Your Day Job, Gary Kreger, left today with his daughter, Maddie (vocalist in the band), and two more band mates. The passengers in his vehicle are calling it the Gary Tour. (Gary’s wife, Michelle, is a paralegal. She is working with her law firm to try to receive vouchers for air travel for TNR offices to send practice members to next year’s Fun Day!) They will be doing a tour of Mt Rushmore and Custer’s Battlefields on their way to the Reservation.
