The January 19th DCME is closer than you think!
Preparing for Christmas and New Years makes December fly by so get your tickets for DCME this week, don’t wait! DCME is for all members of TNR. No matter what level you're at or if you've been to DCME before, or if you think, "been there, done that, got the t-shirt", it’s for all members who serve or want to serve, this forgotten population. Like a muscle, the belief in Chiropractic and the belief in self have to be worked on regularly or it will atrophy. With 2 decades of coaching once-in-a-lifetime DCs, I have noticed that this ingredient is the most elusive, almost like lightning in a bottle. Not only does continuous training keep the connection to serve your practice members strong, it’s an answer to the problems of the world. Don’t get worn down and start thinking like the disease obsessed majority. Without continual high-level training, you will not develop or have the opportunity to use this mindset and skill set. This type of seminar is not offered anywhere in our profession and it is a true gem of TNR.
From the mind of Miyagi

Beliefs are the cornerstone of all that is in our lives. If you have things in your life you cherish and enjoy then you have strong beliefs in them, congrats! If you have unwanted things like low new patients and collections, insurance dependency, bullies pushing you around, unhealthy relationships (or the absence of relationships), money woes, physical and emotional illness, scarcity and limitation then you have deep-seated, invisible beliefs in these as well. The problem is, once programmed, these beliefs become invisible to you and they automatically control your behavior. You really don’t get a say in things because it's more of the same of what has been programmed in your subconscious.
If you have a strong belief in not smoking then it takes no effort not to smoke. If you smoked previously (past history is a piece of your intent base or beliefs), it stalks up and attempts to get you to smoke. Most smokers wish to quit, however, they don’t understand belief systems and they attempt to use logic, frontal lobe reasoning, or willpower. Both are powerless before your subconscious programming.
Want more proof? How could millions of people support the concept of war? There is a very strong invisible belief supporting it. Remember, morality or 'right or wrong' have no place in beliefs. How about smoking, drugs, disease, insurance, treatment of minorities, child abuse, or violence toward children and women? Don’t talk to me about logic, rhetoric, excuses; it’s the way it always has been, etc. These things are not questioned or even seen because they are all part of the invisible landscape of our country’s beliefs, as well as individual beliefs.
Here’s an example that will illustrate the point. The uncontested belief that drugs are safe, like parents that don’t see the harm in drugs when pregnant or giving drugs to children that have known disease causing principles to them. Because of the time elapsed, we can now talk about Thalidomide without getting emotionally involved. Mothers used to take Thalidomide to relieve morning sickness and it caused thousands of babies to be born without arms or legs. Will Ritalin or addiction to internet devices be the next episode of Thalidomide? Time will tell. Years ago hygiene was suggested as a solution to infection and fever during child birth. The ones who suggested such nonsense were banished from the profession.
The result of not seeing the problems of our society as they really are has snowballed into the Predicament of the Species. Pollution and global warming are great examples of this. Our beliefs prevent us from actually seeing just what is going on. Imagine a Nobel Prize winning professor having his professorship revoked for suggesting that Disappearing Bee Colony Syndrome is the effect of pesticides used widely in this country. According to the scientific community, there is no known cause to Disappearing Bee Colony Syndrome. Do you find it coincidental that all scientific inquiry is underwritten and funded by the very people who produce this poison?
All of your coaching and training in TNR allows you to develop a bigger vision than merely self gain. It allows you immunity to being sucked in with the current problems of society that don’t have an answer in their current paradigm but are indeed solvable in another paradigm. (How about health?) Our TNR events are not made to make sense to the many. They are geared to make sense to the few, the DCs who choose to see the world differently and do something about it instead of offering yet another, impotent opinion.
Practice tip of the week
Dovetailing with the last article, don’t fight against any concept in your office. Don’t be against war; instead be for peace. Don’t fight against disease; demonstrate health in people who allow a new paradigm to take flight in their lives. A high percentage of people in our profession are always writing or talking against something they don’t do or are not qualified to comment on: against vaccines, against insurance, against this or that. Don't add yourself to the list of DCs in this country that got chewed up and spit out in little pieces by attempting to fight against well-established beliefs in disease, war, politics, religion, etc. It’s not a sustainable strategy and is a great thief of personal power.
When a practice member informs you they are now taking an antibiotic that’s going to help them, why do you feel the need to chime in? Simply state about how each and every adjustment increases their immunity, their CD4 count, etc. Don’t bite when the bait is offered you. When a practice member informs you that they are going to a real doctor to get an MRI, don’t take it personally. They are in a tough situation and are full of fear. They are doing only what they have been programmed to do: run to the authority of health, which is a medical man or woman in their mind.
Have you thought about the dialogue that’s happened with nearly every new practice member that has walked in your door? They asked their doctor, "What do you think of Chiropractors?" Then the MD goes into a tirade about the risk (strokes), the lack of scientific evidence (acupuncture has helped millions without research), and the hyperbole about thinking they (DCs) can ‘cure’ anything from back pain to cancer.
Even though not trusted and foreign to many, health is a melody that people, when introduced to its principles, have heard before. There is a soft-spoken resonation of truth to it. Go with your strengths, not against your weaknesses.
DCME confidential

Question 1: Is it okay to make exceptions to the fee structures for DCMEs?
Answer: I am reading something deeper into your question. Every once in a while, you are genuinely going to believe in someone’s circumstances and you are going to reduce or completely eliminate a DCME fee. Be very careful doing this. This is by definition an exception because most will come back to bite you in the ass. Focus on the rule of people committing to the structure of the DCME and the results will be forthcoming.
It’s Christmas on the Reservation time!
The presents have been sent and are being wrapped as we speak, the HUGE grocery order has been made, and the kids are just chomping at the bit! It is a very special time of the year! I, along with all of the elves at TNR and LHNC, want to thank each and every person who helped with Christmas on the Reservation. Each gift, bag of food, or article of clothing represents so much more than it’s monetary worth. It represents HOPE! We will be sure to take lots of photos and videos. Share these pictures throughout the year in your offices to keep the momentum of LHNC growing.
LHNC Around the World

Dr. Sabrina’s son and his 5th grade class in Vancouver, Canada have formed a knitting club! These amazing children have been knitting 10+ hats/neck warmers daily to be sent out to the Reservation.

Dr. Llana has officially moved into her new office! Congrats!
30-Day Coaching Trial with TNR
As with almost the entire content of this week's communication, we are interested in OPEN MINDED DCs about the possibility of serving people at a much higher level. There are lots and lots of DCs who always wanted to help kids and difficult cases and to see wellness and care above and beyond pain relief only but they just never knew they could be successful doing so. Don’t judge them where they are, it’s where they want to be that counts. Don't forget the hero’s journey all of us have made. Reach out to your contacts; you never know when the student is ready. Thank you.
