There is no snow in the forecast, the kids are getting giggly, and we're keeping our promise for the twelfth year. Christmas on the Reservation makes a big difference to these kids. They look forward to it all year. The Sproul house, which is 5 miles from the Chiropractic Clinic/Movie Theater, will be filled with Canadians coming from Heartland. Thanks to Kenny Smoker, the Tribal Council will be taking care of all rooms for our group at the Homestead Inn. Adjustments and treatments will be given to hundreds of kids and adults at the basketball game, in the juvenile facility, and at the jail, etc. We will be taking lots and lots of pictures and video for all for all of you to see. Please share all the pictures, social media, and fun with your PMs! Thank you for reaching down deep for this year’s event! If you did not make the deadline, you can still make your donations on CrowdRise.
The 2017 Christmas on the Reservation ornaments are almost gone! To order yours, go onto the LHNC website (savethereservation.org) and click on 'Ornament Shop' under 'Projects'.

The next TNR event is SuperAcademy on January 20th & 21st
These two days will perfect your PMs' journeys. Without these procedures and communication concepts, you will default to making your office all about symptoms. The paradigm will not be moved from disease to health, regardless of the amount of symptom removal. SA will include a brand new, updated workbook for a reference manual. Don’t be dissuaded because you have fear of role-playing. If you truly want a world-class practice, it’s by transcending or moving through deficiencies, not avoiding them. Patient education and intent are the ingredients that separate DCs. Consider this: all DCs adjust, but why do incomes and DCME patients vary 3, 5, 10 or even 20 X? This is perhaps one of the scariest events in TNR. If you are traveling a long distance and you want to combine a H2H before or after SA, call HQ soon. One spot is already taken!
LHNC Documentary completed!
The link for the latest documentary by Peter from Mavick Media was included in last week's TNR Happenings. He did a great job! This is something we can all be proud of. You can’t use this enough in your office to show PMs your efforts with LHNC. Millennials are all about social cause. Younger PMs reflect this demographic. No matter how great your results, huge social cause must be a part of it. Are you just another doctor in your community or are you a doctor with a cause?
Practice tip of the week
What is the real secret to RETENTION? It’s making a lasting emotional connection with each and every person you meet. No matter how great Chiropractic is, your PMs don’t know it. If you are only providing a service, they will foist their abysmal beliefs about the meaning and value of Chiropractic upon you. This is where all the resistance comes from. If they don’t trust you, they won’t accept anything that doesn’t line up with their previous beliefs about disease. Dogs know this when they meet a person the first time. They can sense the person's intent. Face it, most people you see are hopelessly addicted to the model of disease. When they are sick they hop from short-term cure to short-term cure, looking for miracle cures with no commitment on their part. If they are willing to learn something above and beyond what they know, they have to feel you care deeply about them. This is the rule, not the exception. This not only takes communication skills, but an intent on helping people who are sometimes initially lukewarm on receiving your help.

Spotlight on Mental Illness
This is an age of youth, as well as adult, mental illness. Anxiety, depression, suicide, bipolarity, PTSD, the list goes on and on. Will we, as TNR DCs, step up to the challenge of mental illness or will we do the safe thing by clinging to back and neck pain? Think of the layers of accumulated injury and the Baseline Assessment. To a Millennial or Gen X parent, it’s the first plausible explanation of how their child arrived in their current state. These concepts also validate a parent's suspicions that this is chronic in nature and has been around for some time. Removing layers of accumulated injury includes a whole lot more than merely pain relief. Having solutions for today’s parents should be a huge motivating factor for all TNR doctors! Whenever we see mental illness, we can be guaranteed there has been a marked loss of health.
