DCME Training Is On January 18th
Imagine improving your mindset and skill set instead of following the crowd with stagnation and being okay with it. You can kid yourself that it’s not hurting anyone and you’re doing your best. Who will teach you the timeless principles of being a once-in-a-lifetime anything? Online guru personalities, more academics, more technique, and more philosophy won’t get the job done. Do you know doctors with an alphabet soup next to their names? Is this narcissism, intellectualism, arrogance, or them hiding behind their dirty little secret that they don’t produce healing results even though they pretend to? Getting better each year is a foreign concept to the majority. The attention or focus is solely on income production, marketing, and BSO’s. Humanitarianism and world-class clinical skills don’t fit into the equation. Nothing is wrong with any of these until the 4 D’s of fate come unannounced, barging down your door and ruining your life. Comfort, complacency, and security are the antithesis of DCME. Make plans to attend and call to get your discounted ticket today!

It’s Here!
The journey continues as we shove off to the Reservation to light the smiles of lots of kids on the Fort Peck Reservation. This theme of gratitude kicks off the holiday season. Experiencing the excitement, squeals, and joy of the kids being loved, recognized, and valued is something you will never forget. Each participant, donor, and person connected to Love Has No Color feels it through the joy, smiles, and pictures. This year’s T-shirt is a beauty. There are many surprises in the works, including our ‘boots on the ground’ giant, Trent, seeking families in dire straights. The Love Has No Color sleigh may be making home visits to add to the festivities. We have a north-of-the-border elf working on baskets that we will be handing out to some special people who have been helping us for years. There will be lots of pictures. Thank you for all the donations, planning, and spreading the word in your offices. A special thanks goes to the head elf, Dr. Julie, who attends to the paperwork and taxes and helps to make all of this possible every year. She makes it all happen, from renting cars to buying gifts in the off-season, buying tickets, dropping people off at the airport, etc. It can’t be done without her.

I Am Available Only Through Tuesday This Week
If it’s an emergency, you can call Dr. Julie, who has her cell phone by her side more than I do. I have received many emergency calls over the years while on the Reservation, including multiple Miracle Training candidates. Try my phone first, and if you don’t reach me, call Dr. Julie.
From the Mind of Miyagi

Let’s take a look at the worldview of the rescue dog. Have you ever wondered what the world, or at least your part in it, would look like if everyone exceeded expectations instead of just doing the bare minimum? There would be peace, knowing, confidence, and safety of finally having a person who gets you. When a loved one, like a parent, sibling, or child, is seriously hurt, do you only receive a professional, regulated college try instead of a once-in-a-lifetime effort? Of all the teachers you have had, which ones distinguished themselves as being in your corner? How about accountants? You have no idea of how much you are overpaying in taxes until you switch accountants. With doctors, it can be too late or permanent and you don’t just pay the price, we all do!
Have you ever had a person stand up for you? There is no feeling like it in the world. You were too young, outgunned, or outmanned, and then this person unwilling to take no for an answer steps in. Most people cave in, give in, and accept no quite easily. This is not possible. Okay. This is not covered by insurance. Okay. People will not pay you out of pocket for your services. Okay. Inadequacy and unworthiness are rooted in not having people there for you when you need them. When you experience a once-in-a-lifetime personality, you can be sure they had such a person in their corner.
Believe it or not, it doesn’t have to be a life-and-death problem. It can be small or large; the point is to make it a part of your life. Don’t hide when the chips are down. Don’t let the expectations of what society expects from you get in the way. Act authentically and boldly with less fear of the consequences. Things can be legal or illegal, but many things are not just. They need people to stand and hold space for people in dire circumstances. Pot was unlawful until it occurred to the US government that they were losing billions in tax revenue, and now it’s legal. What happened to the thousands of people who were put in jail? The individual, not the masses, makes evolution and societal change. TNR is about experiencing freedom for perhaps the first time in your life.
Miracle Training
It’s easy to get caught up in blaming people for not hiring you, deferring to insurance coverage, government, etc., but it’s not that simple. Intensive, one-on-one help is a concept that has not reached the threshold by any means. Just think of a person who is depressed. They don’t want to be depressed and may be willing to do some superficial things like drugs or therapy but are not willing to put it all on the line. It’s above their ability or commitment level. An overweight person doesn’t want to put in the effort; it's not that they can’t, and they decide not to do the work. Most of my clients either lose or gain huge amounts of weight in a few months. They will produce results if they do the work. It’s that simple. FEAR, plain and simple, complicates matters. Money is a secondary consideration, not a primary. You will notice certain personality characteristics of people willing to do whatever it takes. One famous MT client said, “Just because I’m scared doesn’t mean I won’t do it.” She did it and continues to do so. That one ingredient, called by many names, gets the job done when nothing else does.

DCME Confidential

A long-time member told me they learned so much about DCME from being on the Reservation with our group. She said people speak about difficulties on the car rides, during the scrumptious meals, at the hotel, etc. She likes hearing about MT examples and having some MT graduates there to speak with and ask questions like, “What was MT like for you?” Where can you get that in a relaxed, non-formal setting? I look forward to this time on the Reservation every year. For me, it sets the tone for the whole year!
