The Pulse of TNR!

Super Academy was shocking!

Almost everyone in our profession is looking for the answer to increased prosperity, higher quality of PMs, and really making a difference in the lives of others. Well here it is: communication skills. Without the ability to communicate a foreign concept like health (not the disease model), people will tend to see you as a symptom reliever just like everybody else. Seeing the light bulbs go off all weekend was amazing. What do shock collars, role playing, Cesar Millan videos, natural order and social order, 'she’s lying', 'to be honest with you', and 'I’ll send you an email' have to do with outrageous communication skills??? I guess you had to be there.

What a great idea!

Dr. Lizzie Snow, Dr Teri Dunton, and Drs. Randi Jo and Marc Steiner are among the doctors who have been donating 5% of their new patient and DCME prepays to Love Has No Color. TNR will send your PM a hand signed certificate. It really means a great deal to your patients. You will love seeing their surprise when they receive the certificate in your office. Being a part of something greater inspires almost all people, especially Millennials and Gen X’s; they love social cause. They will pass lots of other choices of doctors on their way to your office. This social cause gives them one more reason to be in your office! Great job doctors!

Practice tip of the week

Cause and effect: don’t mix them up. Being out of shape is an effect, not a cause. Lack of quality new patients, retention, and income are all effects and not causes. When we attempt to fix the effects, we often get lost in the process. BSOs all work on effects and not the cause. It’s so tempting and alluring to work on the effects instead of the cause. Almost all of medicine is based on effects (symptoms) and not the cause of why the patient isn't healthy. The cause is more difficult to address, but is infinitely more satisfying and more permanent. By addressing the effect it sometimes appears like you can get rid of the problem, but the effect continues to appear until you work on the cause.

Spring Intro Seminars

As part of TNR’s outreach program to reach DCs who would accept help to improve their practices, Dr. Kevin will be putting on a limited number of Intro Seminars. They typically are held on Thursday mornings from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The function of an Intro Seminar is to have area DCs attend to learn more about TNR so they will want to join TNR. If you have the chops to get 5-12 DCs in your area to attend an Intro Seminar, let Samantha know and she will schedule it and help you coordinate it. She has samples of letters and emails to send, along with examples of what to say when inviting DCs. Plus you will get to pick Miyagi’s brain one-on-one at dinner or breakfast.

Are your practice members in the mood?

Get them in the mood for a miracle by giving them a copy of the Making of a Miracle book. The book contains story after story of people who didn’t give up on their children or themselves. Most of these stories accurately reflect that these miracles occurred with long-term care, not with just an adjustment or two. People have certain expectations of what they think Chiropractic can do and you can allow your new patients' expectations to go above and beyond this.
