The pulse of TNR!
Why a paper TNR Happenings?
The content of the TNR Happenings on a weekly basis is just too critical to ignore. We want you to have a paper copy that is readily available to you without having to log in to the TNR website. It will continue to be published on the members-only section of our website, coachingforchiropractors.com, but you will also be sent a paper one to make notes and comments to yourself. Then you can 3-hole punch it and put it in a binder to keep. You know how important the TNR events are and, even with the infusion of weekly coaching calls, it’s too easy for members to get lost, overwhelmed, and distracted to the point of giving in to the temptations of BSOs. When I have done Big Vision H2Hs for high-level members I almost always see tons of TNR materials in the doctor's office. They have printed out newsletters with comments about what things they want to accomplish and work on. The TNR schedule is laid out on their calendar and blacked out so family events don’t collide. They have the phone numbers and email addresses of other TNR members written on a special sheet. Of course they have these contacts in their phones, but they also have them on paper (visual) so they are constantly reminded about connecting with other members in TNR. Hence the paper newsletter. I remember seeing three pictures hanging in Cowboy Rick’s personal office: a picture of his father, Dr. Kevin and Dr. Joe, who was Dr. Kevin’s mentor and Dr. Rick's early mentor.
Unknown to many members, for the past 18 years, we have gotten emails and mail from members who share their intimate insights of their journey in TNR. I recently got a long email from a long-term member who has gotten herself into some real trouble. The areas of trouble are not what you might think. Her practice is doing okay with 230-250 patient visits and she is collecting $40,000 a month. Her marriage and the lives of her children are in shambles. She is also in trouble with a regulatory agency.
She is really happy with her progress in TNR as far as her office goes, but she was unaware or not interested about the other aspects of TNR. In speaking with her after she had gotten into real hot water, it became obvious that she thought of TNR as only a way to help her practice, and not her life. She does not consider TNR a philosophy, a code of honor, an orientation to the world, or a kind of moral gyroscope or GPS for being connected to all people. She sees it more as financial leverage, not healthier people create a healthier world. This is kind of like how some doctors and people attempt to separate mind, body and spirit. It simply can’t be done. I’m convinced that if she had a binder of newsletters talking about other members' trials and tribulations, along with her having more participation in TNR events, she would not be in the hot water she is in. Let these newsletters be a guide, a cautionary tale of the temptations you will experience, and a way to continue to work toward excellence in your life.
The white elephant in the room
After the last TNR event a four-year all-in member gushed, "This was hands down the best event I’ve ever been to in Chiropractic." There was also an invisible question mark on her forehead asking, ‘Why aren’t more DCs getting this warrior fuel?' The more the concepts are contrarian, concise, natural order, counterintuitive, and with a high price tag, the less common DCs will be attracted to it. The problem is that high-ranking members embrace the high resonation of the material while it intimidates and does not appeal to DCs who are not quite advanced. These DCs are still searching for low commitment and simple solutions to complex problems.
The paradox at TNR is we can’t water down the material for advanced members, and we also can’t take our focus away from welcoming new members. We are rolling out our referral outreach program with Intro Seminars this spring and that will help. Another great idea is to have our current members refer a fellow DC/ND to our March 17th general TNR Seminar. It is not nearly so intimidating as a high-level event and it gives the guest DC an opportunity to experience the TNR vibration. Please don’t judge or think who will or who won’t make a great member. Give everyone an opportunity so they can find out if TNR is for them. Even great oaks started out as acorns. Remember when you started? They will love it or leave it on their own accord, but they need to be exposed to planet TNR so they can decide.
Along these lines, do you remember the reason why you joined TNR? Let me go first. I would love to tell you it was to be humanitarian, find out how to produce superior clinical results, and then earn a handsome income. It was reason #3 front and center, along with, of course, how to attract quality new patients. This is by far and away the #1 reason that most of the TNR members have had for joining. You see, it doesn’t matter why they joined. As they ascend in TNR, they are exposed to more coaching, more events, and, of course, higher resonation. Everyone grows and commits at a different pace. For some, economic leverage will be all they join TNR for…and that’s okay. Other longer-term members will thirst for something above and beyond financial affluence. Understanding is not necessary for joining, only a willingness to do what it takes. Only by looking back at your growing list of accomplishments will understanding be illuminated.
Back in Colonial days, when the Revolution was in its infancy, the militia would get together and practice methods of warfare, target practice, tactics, etc. Going to these events were great reasons to leave the farm and family and play army, as it were. When it came to the actual battle, not everyone felt like it was so great. You see, some of the people practicing for the battle loved being away from the drudgeries of home life and liked lifting a malt brew to their freedom. It was like a skip day or boys night out. But when the real battle happened, they slithered back into their safe, daily lives and always had excuses like their horse was lame, their child had a fever, the hay needed baling, etc.
The top echelon or the Navy Seal, once-in-a-lifetime DC are the ones who make TNR a huge part of their lives. The events energize them and touch them at a deep and profound emotional and spiritual level. These are the rare few who choose to face, rather than deny or run away from, the tough things in life: spouse issues, feeling inadequate despite all the material trappings, feeling isolated, social vs natural order, code of honor, addiction, domestic violence, not keeping promises or agreements with spouses, children, and practice members. The answers are found in the training, in the experience, in the belonging to a group that stands for so much more than individual success only.
Former pitcher dies in Venezuela amid lack of medication
Medical memes at its finest. This was complete factoid, fake news that reinforces disease care and the perils of not having enough magic pills on hand. Imagine if you read about a former professional athlete who died because of an acute lack of Chiropractic adjustments. Did anyone read about the toxicology report on recently departed rocker Tom Petty? It was simply criminal what MDs did to prop up this cash cow so he could continue to perform at concerts. This was no different than Michael Jackson. There are no ethics or morality with medical care…only profit. Nobody raises an eyebrow wit this type of care. There are no investigative reporters, no senate inquisitions, and everyone shrugs and thinks this is an acceptable price to pay. Think of all the deaths from medical care that you don’t hear about because they happen to regular, non-celebrity people. This silent voice, with the power of social media behind, it has the social might to reach for something better, no matter how addicted they are to the deadly consequences of disease care. Disease care is not health care…know the difference no matter how familiar the former feels. Side effects of drugs are almost like pollution: it’s not worried about until you can walk on the water (because it's thick and sludgy) instead of drinking it.
A look into the files of a DCME doctor
There was a rumor of an attendee of Super Academy having an $8200 DCME only hours after attending. This was quite a return on her investment. Other attendees have reported seeing more and more DCMEs. Did the new patients change or did the Super Academy trained mindset of the doctors change? Remember that DCME cases do not have to include outside the office activities. There can be a marked increase in frequency and duration with adjustments. All-in DCMEs just love at home assignments. You don’t want to call it homework for obvious emotional connotations. Give them the 21-Day DCME program. Don’t be concerned that they understand it, only their willingness to do it gets them the results. Lower resonating people think that if they can’t understand something or see something, it can’t be real. Every DCME must break through their limiting beliefs.
LHNC documentary party
A few offices in TNR (Dr. Lisa, Dr. Lizzie, with others pending) are having LHNC documentary evenings where practice members and guests see the documentary and hear from participants, etc. This is an evening with the doctor and VIP PMs plus lots of potential new patients. Dr. Lisa even raised funds (over $1,000) for LHNC at her LHNC documentary. Plan yours now. If you need any photos, stories, or help, just call TNR.
Miss America to speak March 15th on the Reservation

Cara Mund, from North Dakota, will deliver a series of talks to girls at various schools on the Reservation. Her talks center around girl power, having confidence, and to dream big. Former TNR member, Dr. Stephanie Mills of New Hampshire, a former Ms. America, made a call to Dr. Kevin and offered the date. Kenny Smoker was contacted and everything was set into motion. This is part of LHNC's efforts thru the HPDP and Kenny Smoker to bring all types of people of interest to the Reservation to help the kids.
