TNR happs 6.1.26

DCME Is On July 18th

Each TNR training adds to your current ability and understanding of how to keep what you do sacred. They also help you not to succumb to the never-ending drone of mediocrity and doing just enough to get by, and to stand for an ideal greater than you find with social media or consensus. TNR has a depth and sophistication that are viewed with suspicion in the 154-character world of simple solutions to complex problems. Our TNR teachings are a treat for the senses, a connection with something bigger and more profound than personal needs. And, of course, it has your personal needs covered. Some of the points explained in the TNR matrix come from the concepts you will find in one of my all-time sources, A Course in Miracles. The development of the training is circular with its themes treated like a symphony: introduced, set aside, reintroduced, and developed. This results in an interlocking matrix (tongue-and-groove) in which every part is integral and essential to the whole, while implicitly containing that whole within itself. Thus, the same material consistently recurs, both within the training as a thought system and in learning opportunities in our personal lives. See you there!

DIFFICULT CASES MADE EASY 71826

Love Has No Color

The dates are August 13th, 14th, and 15th. Now it’s fundraising time! For the next 2 months, we are asking all of our members to dig in and raise the funds necessary to fuel our yearly trek to the Reservation. It’s a real test for members when they are met with the mindset of the ordinary world. Most people are not familiar with the history or the impact that Love Has No Color has made on the Fort Peck Reservation and beyond. You must supply the energy, the enthusiasm, and the drive. To make an impact with dulled, self-absorbed people, it’s like artificial sugar. It only reaches their senses if it's super sweet, like 100x sweeter, to reach them over the din and drone of distractions. We are always on the lookout for ‘big fish’ or whales that are in a position to make large donations.  This is how the Reebok connection happened. Do you remember all of those sneakers and clothes that were donated from Reebok? It took hours just to unload and pack them all! Thousands of sneakers have to be given out by the company, why not to Love Has No Color? The Taylor Family Chiropractic office asked that question and made that happen for years. A Michigan DC gets a large check from a family foundation every year. A New Hampshire couple has someone who does something similar as well. Your people have to be introduced to Love Has No Color. You don’t get this by looking on the web. It’s a personal introduction from someone who has been there and is involved, not by reading about it or watching a video. This is a grassroots initiative, but that doesn’t mean it’s not powerful or impactful. It is quite the opposite. Dig in!

Walking shoulder to shoulder, rather than in front of or behind, is a concept rarely discussed. Recently deceased Dr. Guy Reikeman, the former Life U president and partner to my late mentor, Dr. Joe Flesia, described this concept to me when he gave Love Has No Color a scholarship for a woman on the Reservation to study at Life U. He had never come across something as authentic and galvanizing as Love Has No Color in all of Chiropractic. It wasn’t yet another mission trip to a foreign country where you were there for a few days and then left. It is something that goes on all year long. And it is in the USA!  All of Chiropractic should be involved in this. He loved Native American culture and saw parallels between their struggle and Chiropractors' attempts to be authentic rather than offshoots of medical practice. He owned a ranch in Colorado called the Indian Paintbrush Ranch.

In each of our communities, your office should be an epicenter of health and an oasis of healing. Not just another business, but a huge asset to your community and its people. You’re not like another bakery, bank, dental office, or supermarket. These are all nice and necessary, but they don’t have a centralizing theme of keeping healthy. Without health, what’s left? Our offices are different than hospitals. Hospitals are great for emergencies, but don’t expect a hospital to develop health; these are two entirely different concepts.

Don’t ever forget the point of view of the practice member. Somehow, somewhere, their health has gone off the rails, and they are looking for answers and solutions. Above and beyond this, they get an actual person who joins with them in a partnership of healing. The human dimension is not based on technology, drugs, operations, or toxic agents foisted on the body in the name of the eradication of disease.  All doctors have an atmosphere of healing about them. You can almost feel it with some doctors, while others hide behind an academic, medical world of logic and reason mask, avoiding Innate Intelligence and natural healing at any cost. Staying in your lane, being drug-free, and creating the conditions for healing takes more skill than giving out a pill or potion.

Miracle Training

Miracle Training With Dr. Kevin

One of the things I never take for granted is the story or narrative of how Miracle Training clients descend into the dark night of the soul. The variety of people I get is always fascinating to me: business owners, professional athletes, soccer moms, teenagers who never venture out of their rooms, people who look normal on the outside, etc. The missing piece in their downward spiral was a person ‘in the know’ who would stand by them in truth, no matter what others said. For some, this descent is slow, and for others it’s as sudden as a heart attack.

The personalities of Miracle Training people mirror Baskin-Robbins Ice Cream: 31 different flavors, with all kinds of colors and levels of grumpiness. One of the hidden rewards of seeing people miraculously recover is the kindness and the beauty that become part of them upon graduation. Some of the most ungrateful shut-down people spring forth to represent a kindness and radiance that was absent prior to regaining their health. From hating their lives and blaming everyone for their circumstances to hating their parents or spouses, they now recontextualize everything in their lives. Now they are a pleasure to be around. Some don’t know the hidden strengths and abilities they possess until they are liberated from the dark night of the soul.

As fun as it is to see some of these cases at TNR trainings, you are seeing a more finished product. If you could only see them at the beginning of Miracle Training. It’s not their fault, as they had descended into survival mode, complete with anger, grief, guilt, shame, rage, disease, and isolation. The 4 D’s bring out the worst in all people. Healing brings out the best in people.

DCME Confidential

Confidential-150x150

Question 1: Is it always a matter of a patient not giving their best when results are not achieved?

Answer: This is a great query! It’s always a combination of the doctor and the patient. The mystery is it’s never 50-50. I can unequivocally tell you that the only responsibility to your people is to train, study, and be the best you can be. Their best is a variable. You will experience the highs and lows of people’s ‘best’ effort.

Question 2: My DCME is losing altitude and missing appointments. What can I do?

Answer: You may have reached the point of no return. Sometimes the best you can do is take this experience to your next DCME. There are many varied reasons for losing altitude. Sometimes, thinking that you have to be friends or confidants is at the root of it all. Being too light on people will also come back to bite you. Most of the gratitude comes from people looking back at the body of work they have accomplished.
