The pulse of TNR!
DCME July 15
I received some feedback from brand new practitioners, Dr. Cliff Taylor and Dr. Randi Jo Pallis, plus a few others about DCME. Did you know that there is nothing even remotely close to DCME in Chiropractic? It’s not just more information and philosophy, it’s a platform to apply the principles immediately. Nobody speaks about these cases in Chiropractic circles. Oh, sure there is a handful of DCs who are seeing practice members for outside of the box conditions of what society will accept, but not an ongoing training session geared toward making all TNR members once in a lifetime DCs. Just the courage needed to recommend the frequency and duration necessary for these cases is worth the price of admission. DCME has opened more doors for members than perhaps any other event besides H2Hs. Dr. Teri Dunton of Big Stone Gap, VA has been having so much adventure and excitement with DCMEs. She asked me, "why has it taken me so long to care for these amazing cases? That’s why DCME was created. It is one of the true gems of TNR so don’t miss this epic event. Practice size has nothing to do with mastering these principles. We will have multiple member presentations and maybe even a guest or two from Miyagi’s past. Don’t forget the extreme fellowship of the after-seminar get-together. Please note: this is a closed door TNR member event.
The Royal Wedding is on June 17
TNR members Dr. Randi Jo and Dr. Marc Steiner will be getting married in a matter of a few days. They just started their new practice in Exeter, NH. They will be married at the Pallis ranch just like Drs. Christy Lee & Cliff Taylor did 5 years ago. It's been rumored that Miyagi appears to be more like Daniel-son with wax on, wax off duties including painting, sanding, cleaning and otherwise getting the grounds in tip-top condition.
Practice tip of the week
Be patient with practice member understanding. In case some of you haven’t noticed, they tend to focus on symptoms and the disease model. In an effort to educate, we sometimes can become too overbearing and almost fundamentalist about PMs getting it. Or we go in an 180 degree opposite direction and concentrate on symptoms only. The concentric layers of the onion and Baseline Assessment take care of this with willingness and trust. Then you will have months to years of getting the big idea of understanding across to people. The willingness of PMs to move forward is a great sign of trust and then you can proceed with your patient education. Willingness, which signifies trust, is the first ingredient before understanding. With the most significant things in our lives, from marriage and parenting to Chiropractic College, we were willing to move forward with the process and only after looking back could we gleam some understanding. Below is a link to a Baseline Assessment that Dr. Megan received.
LHNC Fundraising, fundraising, fundraising!!!
If anyone runs out of ideas for fundraising, just call Dr. Teri! Creative, wild, and zany are just some of the descriptions for her fundraising events. Year one practitioners, Drs. Christy and Cliff Taylor are having a huge Chamber of Commerce event. It will be after our Boot Camp, but it still will be huge. Did you know that Dr. Teri said if she eclipses $25,000 she is going to shave her head? Dr. Lisa Graham is rumored to be having more than one fun bus this year. The more funds, the more projects we get to do when we are there! Let's make this year our biggest Boot Camp ever. I'm 90% sure our 20-25 rooms will be compted at the Homestead. If you are sure you will be attending this year, get registered with HQ as they will run out fast.
H2H schedule for summer heating up
Lots of summer H2Hs have been scheduled. Members coming to DMCE in July have combined their trips to include H2Hs. Others are combining their H2Hs with visits to New England attractions such as the Cliff Walk in RI and Old Orchard Beach in Maine. Some prefer the in and out approach and others, like the Canadians, always seem to be on holiday and want to visit places after their H2H visit. Go for it!
Miles Beacom graduated from kindergarten this past week! Congratulations, Miles!!!
