Your Weekly TNR Pulse!

Tribal Meeting in Atlanta

There was a lot happening at the TNR Quarterly Seminar on Saturday: faces were painted  (pictures will be posted in the near future) thanks to Dr. Beth’s daughters, Mary Elizabeth and Lilly; there was role playing; we witnessed standing ovations; we learned about better commitment equaling better results; Dr. Lisa read a poem that she wrote about TNR; Dr. Wade read the birth of a movement; Dr. Lizzie read Dr. Kevin’s origin story; we went over updates on TNR clinical procedures inside and outside of your office; we reviewed concentric circles and Baseline Assessments; encouraged leaving the outdated model of Chiropractic behind; discussed the freedom to practice the way you want; how to 3,5,10 fold your practice; explained that TNR is not a geographical location or limited by external factors; shared miracles that were happening in the doctors' offices; gave more colonization examples; learned about tapping into a higher power and aligning with universal principles; listened to a ‘felon’ confess her wanton ways; discussed being a leader in health or a follower in disease; watched an Outlaw Josey Wales video clip; encouraged everybody to step up their fundraising efforts for Boot Camp 2017; realized that no matter how noble the intent, the adjustment cannot convey understanding or change the paradigm of health; symptom relief is great, as far as it goes, and it’s a necessary part of the process, but ongoing wellness is a lifestyle, just like attempting to measure temperature with a barometer is simply the wrong tool to get the job done.

MasterMind was a journey into the unknown of becoming a once in a lifetime DC,ND, and Life Coach, and being recognized as such.

It’s so simple and it will get your office in the fundraising mode. By aligning with universal principles (almost no charities do this) the kids win, the doctors win, the practice members win, and society gets to witness what a group of humanitarian DCs are capable of. Major charities are proud if 15 cents of a dollar actually reaches the cause. This is based on a business model that puts profit over people, similar to drug companies and government bureaucracies. Every person who has ever donated or participated on the reservation says the same thing: ”I’ve never been involved in anything like this!" The money raised to date is $8,400. Let's go for $25,000 this week!

Practice tip of the week

I have noticed a trend outside our group that the demographics of practices reflect what insurance companies begrudgingly will pay. So much for freedom or equality. This business model is legal; however, if we allow insurance companies to dictate ‘levels of humanity’ (just coined by Dr. Kevin), then most DCs won’t see kids because it isn’t paid for. Surprise, surprise. A new wrinkle of this is all the hassles of Medicare. Now our mature members of society will be denied care at many offices. Some DCs will chop out ‘levels of humanity’ based on reimbursement, degree of hassle or putting their licenses on the line, just like with kids: let’s just get to the easily reimbursable gravy. When you are aligned with universal principles, you find a way to serve ALL segments of society, not just the low hanging fruit. Who you are and what you stand for speaks volumes.

Dr Kevin traveled back in time!

Dr. Kevin was invited into the inner sanctum of Dr. Wade Port’s underground training for students on Sunday a.m. Thank you Dr. Wade. There was quite a tribal sense of belonging,  with authentic people, reverence for Chiropractic and a deeper meaning for life, removing shoes before entering the adjustotorium, and a real concern to become a once in a lifetime DC. For years, Dr. Wade has had Peak students in his office and trains DC2Bs about what it takes to be a once in a lifetime DC. In attendance were 26 of the brightest and most humanitarian DC2Bs you will ever find and I was struck by how similar they were to TNR members when they were younger. They are in the beginning process of learning to become a once in a lifetime DC. This process is always dynamic and constantly evolving, not stagnant. The counterintuitive approach of a Navy Seal or once in a lifetime DC is to be the best you can be at all stages, but being okay that most of your training will not aid you in the journey into the unknown of being a once in a lifetime DC. You don’t carry around your training wheels when you don’t need them.

The colonizing landmines students fall prey to include frontal lobe fixation (analyticals), technique, disease, being out of fair exchange, the poverty mindset, limited beliefs about Chiropractic, and research. We all must pass through this stage. It is easy to place too much focus on one thing instead of being open to embracing the big picture. The real question is when they graduate, will they let go and surrender learning and concepts that no longer serve them or will they become permanently fixated in suspended animation? Focusing on all of these facets of your education is a necessary part of the process; however, much like the caterpillar must bow to the butterfly, these early focuses or snake skins must be let go of or released for new growth to occur. Focusing on walking on all of those legs does not aid the butterfly. Technique is a vehicle or foundation, not the principle. The DC is the conduit or the hollow bones (Native American saying) that imbues wonderful technique with ‘that something extra’ that produces miracles. Add a splash of communication, a few parts of boundaries, a pinch of patient education and you have a once in a lifetime DC. The paradigm of health can only be shifted through understanding and participating in Chiropractic as a lifestyle instead of a ‘fix me’ mentality of 8 PVA.
