Mr. Miyagi Is On November 14th
The journey into expertise, the discernment of life, is an unpopular, unrecognized concept for most people. In life, there is the superficial: knowing just enough to appreciate or use something, and then there is depth: discernment, the process or dimension of mastery. In our offices, our relationships with people we care about, and the restoration to health, it’s so much more than technique, academics, data, information, and what worked in the past. You have never seen the next new person come into your office, and yet, without depth, you try to treat them like you have. TNR training isn't for the masses; it’s for those who have real devotion and a sacred connection to the people they help. Don’t confuse this devotion with weakness or passivity. This is like people thinking water isn't powerful because it takes the shape of the container it's in. The economics are the effect, not the cause, of such a level of skill and compassion. The Sunday Head-to-Head space still exists if you are interested. You don’t want to miss this training!
Love Has No Color
We should have the dates for Christmas on the Reservation within the next couple of days. It’s not too early to start raising funds. If you have any ‘great budget websites’ to suggest to Dr. Julie, let her know. As you know, shipping takes a huge bite out of our fundraising. You raise the funds, and Dr. Julie will find a way to minimize shipping costs. The goal is to use the funding to buy as many items as possible, not to have shipping cut into the Reservation's coverage. We gladly accept all donations, big and small. We will be back on our home grounds at the Fort Peck Reservation!
From the Mind of Miyagi
Most people never understand the tip-of-the-iceberg phenomenon. Most are satisfied with being average, mediocre, or a face in the crowd. This isn't an indictment of common people; it is an observation that most aren't interested in pursuing mastery of any kind. Good enough rules in the digital world. One of the greatest journeys you will ever make is the hero’s journey. It’s a journey into the unknown, and it’s the same regardless of who you are. The journey is universal, and your particular individualization makes it relevant to you. As a doctor/healer or parent, you have many opportunities to guide and direct people on this invisible journey. As new as your next new patient, as ancient as time itself.
As parents, you get to watch this capability unfold (if you are aware) as your child goes through life. Did you involve your child, or take them under your wing, to explore the hidden dimension beneath the tip of the iceberg? Did your kid just do karaoke, or did they actually develop their inner capacity? Did they play town sports or compete for a spot on the travel team? Did they sing in a choir or take grueling individual voice lessons? Do they have a passion for helping people, their families, and people they've never met, or do they merely have an aseptic, professional compassion?
Knowing the inner process of peeling away the layers of any activity or interest will serve the person/child/practice member for the rest of their life. It imbues life with a sacred hue. The same principle applies to relationships, sports, music, and fitness. Playing hockey on a pond is not the same as playing on a travel team. This inner process of being on a travel team will serve you for a lifetime, especially in the jaws of the 4 Ds (death of a loved one, divorce, disease, depression). Adversity is a variable (x, y, z), but the process is the constant. The superficial way of solving a problem is to describe the problem in the smallest detail. The in-depth way is to become the solution with little or no attention afforded to the problem. This is completely counterintuitive in Western thought and culture. Going on social media is a death wish that the majority default to if they were never shown or introduced to the inner process of mastery.
My daughter, Dr. Christy, competed in the Hyrox Boston race two days in a row, not once, like a sane person. She did an individual race on Friday and then did a doubles race on Saturday with Tim, the trainer. She has a superpower: not letting something that seems so daunting and intimidating shrink her. She doesn’t have the same athletic skills as some of the other athletes, but she isn’t a plodder: she keeps getting better. She loves the inner process, as it is a way of life, an orientation that slays giants (impossible odds). She is not afraid of being up against the wall. She actually looks forward to being in a space where most fear to tread. She has that inner dimension that I speak of. Everyone reading this is on the same path in their offices, their lives, etc. TNR introduces you to yourself. Popular culture completely downplays this, and you dream of being somebody else. TNR teaches you that you wake up every morning with everything you need. Instead of following other influencers, lead, demonstrate, and represent who you are and what you stand for. I don’t care what your parents say or think about you. I don’t care what you have read or seen on the internet. That inner process in me recognizes and salutes the same inner process that is being developed in you. Like a compass for life, you can use it in any circumstance, and you can rest assured it will navigate in truth.
Miracle Training
As you delve into the frigid, shark-infested waters of DCME and beyond, you'll encounter circumstances few doctors or healers will face. You will experience ‘blood on your hands’. As trained as you are, you can never predict how the person you are helping will cooperate. To what extent do they choose life, and how many will quit because of social programming (worship of mainstream doctors), fear, agreeing with what can’t be done, or simply not knowing a Miyagi or DCME-trained doctor?
People with the proverbial gun to their backs tend to turtle down and take a defensive stance, clinging to the beliefs they were taught. That is fine until the 4 Ds arrive unannounced at their door and then they shriek, ‘Now what am I going to do?’ People have no idea what health is, only the thousands of diseases. They make decisions that can cost them their lives, thinking that if they don’t understand your healing ways, you can’t help them. It's like a 400-pound person saying they know what the diet that will pull the proverbial sword from the stone looks like, or asking a dog if it’s okay to wear a leash.
Do realize that miracles don’t value or care about the opinion of the person who needs health. They are in survival mode, with their heads up their arses. Most people are socially programmed to look only at appearances and not what is underneath. Many choose to die with certainty (diagnosis, palliative care, incurable) rather than take the journey into the unknown. This container is full of charlatans, from new age to medical tourism, Reiki, remedies, and thousands of magical vitamins, supplements, and tinctures, ranging from the silly to the absurd. Believe it or not, health is very simple if cooperation is available. Without it, you'll have ‘blood on your hands’.
DCME Confidential
Question 1: I have a possible DCME client who is willing to pay my fees (he waved a check for that amount in my face) on the condition that I write reports and narratives for his real doctor to approve. I really want to enter the container of DCMEs, but is this what I will be facing over and over?
Answer: NO! Find another DCME that doesn't make such ridiculous demands on your care. If their doctor were so good, they wouldn't be at your office. They are not qualified to judge your care. Pass and get a real DCME.
Question 2: I have a DCME that brings printouts of AI-generated articles on their illness and wants me to read them. This person is hounding me. Help!
Answer: My usual way of dealing with this is very dramatic and bold. I get a lighter and burn them. I am not interested in low-resonating cosmic debris on the internet. The reality is that this person hasn't bought in yet and may never. By the way, if they don't buy in, you will be handicapped in the results department.
