The Pulse of TNR!
Miyagi says thank you
The Friday night event didn’t disappoint! There were some strained and tired muscles, some controlled falls and lots of smiles and laughs. How about Samantha, the photographer, and expert rock climber?
The obstacles we faced really drove home the ideas of unity and community and that together, we can accomplish anything. There are only 3 levels of commitment (committed, involved, and interested). Saturday’s mystery guest brought down the house with real-life examples of how Navy Seal, once in a lifetime DCs are needed now, more than ever. More importantly, Dr. Craig learned who not to sit next to at events.
The Pallis Ranch hospitality, Dr. Julie’s grilled cheese’s, zucchini parmesan, roasted vegetable lasagna, apple cider, and deserts were once again a hit. Drs. Christy and Cliff Taylor’s office was hauntingly decorated and featured a big screen video of the new 21-day DCME program, as well as some video work with Sarah!
A word to the wise, don’t ask Dr. Lisa to play ping pong, you’ll be sorry, she’s a beast!
Gift raising for Christmas on Reservation
Get an early jump this year! Our goal is to have at least one gift for each child…aka we have a little over 4500 gifts to raise!
The theme for gift raising this year is getting kids involved. Encourage each kid in your office, including your own children, to reach out to at least 5 other kids. Don’t robotically tell them what to do, have them understand what these gifts mean to kids that must live in third world conditions. Educate them about what it truly means to be an active humanitarian. When they get involved in the gift raising and humanitarian spirit, they will begin to understand what the expression, “actions speak louder than words” means.
The DCs who have brought kids with them to the Reservation say that their kids learned more about themselves and how connected we all are. If kid after kid got their classrooms, their religious groups, Boy/Girl Scouts, etc involved, imagine all the good LHNC will be able to do.
LHNC is an invitation to spread Christmas cheer to a great group of deserving kids. It’s amazing what a comparatively small group of people are capable of. Remember that Millennials and Gen X’s flock to social cause more than anything else.
Dr. Randi Jo had an EXCELLENT idea this morning. Truthfully, at TNR HQ, we’re all scratching our heads and wondering why we hadn’t thought of it. QR Codes. Print this QR code and post it in your office, on your website, and include it at your fundraising/gift raising events, etc. Tell your practice members to download a (free) QR Scanner to their smartphone. Then when they take a photo of the QR code, it will bring them right to the general Christmas on the Reservation Crowdrise page. They then will click “donate now” and they will be able to choose which “team” their donations are attributed to. This is a quick and easy way to get more people involved. Thanks again, Dr. Randi Jo!!

Practice tip of the week
Don’t bite when people attempt to get your goat. Whenever you are outside of your office, don’t forget you aren’t inside your office. Don't take for granted that they are educated about Chiropractic like your practice members are. A LOT OF PEOPLE DON’T KNOW WHAT CHIROPRACTIC IS! It’s the year 2017 and some people still stubbornly cling to the idea that Chiropractors crack backs. I was at a memorial service and people from my past came up to me with a complete ignorance of what Chiropractic is. Their beliefs stemmed from their prior encounters with it. Don’t attempt to prove, justify, or convince otherwise. There is too much of a gap for them to understand.
It’s amazing that college educated, nice people have absolutely no clue what we do. Attract people who have an open mind and are able and willing to do things a different way. Don’t fight with arrogant or ignorant people; it’s a losing battle. No wonder some people don’t like our recommendations or the commitment required to regain and keep their health at optimum levels.
21 Day DCME is ready to order!
When ordering, make sure to specify who the program is for. If it’s for you, your email (gmail is necessary) must accompany the order. If it is for a practice member, their name and gmail must be on the order form. It’s highly suggested that all members order one for themselves because your PMs will ask you about it when they get stuck.
It is a premium tool, only available to TNR members. It is listed at $349.
Dr. Kevin will be on holiday Wednesday, October 25th thru Monday, October 30th
Dr. Julie and I are celebrating an early Thanksgiving in Michigan. So, TNR will be on radio silence starting late afternoon on Tuesday October 24th. We will be back on the morning of Tuesday October 31st. If you have a pressing problem, simply call my cell phone at 508-498-9440. Samantha will be in the office manning TNR headquarters to handle any orders, H2H dates, etc.
Use your Baseline Assessment tools
The offices that are growing all say the same thing: the Baseline Assessment is fantastic. It finally makes Chiropractic relevant to their specific needs. At the beginning, patients care more about their own self-interest. VSC takes time to grasp, but a BA is a game changer right off the bat. Use the BA for the progressive exam as well, and talk about the doorway to wellness! They can see their own progress as the number of checked symptoms decreases. The BA is a visual incentive and helps patients continue on the path to wellness. Without it, practice members that just feel the symptoms lessen are likely to discontinue care until the symptoms flare up again. They will be participating in the old-fashioned disease model. Nobody else in Chiropractic has this tool!
