TNR Happenings October 28, 2019

oct 28th

Miyagi is this week!

This is the long awaited and much anticipated seminar that gives you the ability to go where others fear to tread. Many repeat attendees call this training the most authentic training in Chiropractic, not just in our TNR group. Not having the ability or mindset to help people in urgent need serves nobody. It is our responsibility and our problem. The lack of ability and mindset separates the Karaoke singer from the real singer that writes and sings their own music.

So many DCs speak of increased income. The business model says anyway you get money is okay. Profit over people is encouraged. The humanitarian model says if you want to exponentially increase your income, you must serve people at much higher levels. The highest good of people must come first before the profit. The Friday evening activity is top secret but here are the hints: ancient Mayan ruins and you will feel like you are entering a hot, steamy jungle. Dress accordingly.

Miyagi Sept 2019

Love Has No Color Gift raising

Go, go go! It’s the time of the season where we raise gift after gift, articles of clothing, coats, boots, mittens, and hats for all the kids. Whatever you did last year, double it! Push the envelope. Some members are leaning on monetary donations, some are doing just gifts, toys, and clothes and others are doing a hybrid. Let your practice members know how important this is to you and how to get involved immediately. We’re still looking for a few big fish donors to carry us above and beyond our goals.

Practice tip of the week

If you are flying in the airspace of TNR, you probably have noticed your insurance reimbursement getting smaller and smaller. If you were 70% insurance in 2019, you will be most likely 50% or less in 2020. Why? More autonomy, less paperwork, less legal woes, less audits, etc. This is the decided liberation from colonization for higher level members. We get so dependent on insurance and we arrange our offices around their constantly changing rules. When you train at a high level, you have no problems asking people for higher levels of commitment. Almost all economic woes of a DCME case are by mixing and matching insurance and cash. Have them pay you independently of their coverage and give them a limited amount of paperwork (super bill only, no begging, or pleading letters asking for permission). Put more time and effort into being the doctor and not an unpaid employee of the insurance companies. Imagine what your CAs could accomplish if they were released from their insurance duties. They would now be aimed at growth and making your office a profit center!

Dr. Lizzie live on Facebook

Dr. Lizzie was a special guest star on our TNR Facebook Live last Wednesday at 1:00. She was incredible as she spoke of her journey in TNR. We do a Facebook Live every Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. and every Monday at 8:00 a.m. We do little snippets on Monday and talk more in depth on Wednesdays. Watch Dr. Lizzie’s video on our Facebook or here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MF99myTdJ9k. Tune in on Mondays and Wednesdays and please share the Facebook Live with your contacts!

I also wanted to applaud Dr. Lizzie for her beautifully done website! One of the parts that I like the most is that patients can schedule appointments online. It’s quick and easy for them. They pick a day and time that works best and it gets sent to your calendar. Take a look at Dr. Lizzie’s website here: https://www.rise2awakenhealth.com/baseline-assessments.html. The website she uses for the online calendar is Calendly. It links up with Outlook, Google Calendar, and more and the best part…the basic package is FREE! Check it out here: https://calendly.com/

Don’t Sweat it Testimonial

Going into my Sweat H2H, I thought I knew what I needed. I thought I knew where my weaknesses were. I thought I knew where I needed to improve and just needed a little help from Dr. Kevin. Man was I wrong! Turns out I had absolutely no idea what I needed. My ego and limiting beliefs were transcended almost immediately by an experience that I will never forget. It has taken me over a week to try to grasp at words that would do the experience justice, and quite frankly it's still hard to find the right ones. As all H2Hs are different, but the Sweat H2H is in a class of its own and is something that can only be experienced. We went on a journey that unlocked depths of my soul that I didn’t even know existed. My capacity for love, service, and gratitude has been opened not just for myself, but for everyone in my life.

As members of TNR, we all want to show up bigger in our lives for the ones we love. We all have dreams and visions for our service to humanity. We are the get-shit-done’ers (Trademark) of our communities and in healthcare. We all train to take our skills and lives to the next level. The Sweat H2H is the next step in your journey. With the help of Dr. Kevin, Emily, and the rest of the TNR staff we made a couple videos to use at my future practice. They did an incredible job of capturing who I am and what I stand for, and turning it into something that I will use every day in my practice for years to come. I left feeling a new sense of confidence and clarity that my dreams and vision are becoming a reality. If you are interested in or thinking about doing a Sweat H2H, stop thinking and do it! You deserve it and so do the people you love.

From the Mind of Miyagi

Have you ever noticed that when things are not going so great, there is a tremendous tendency towards contracture? It doesn’t matter if it’s an individual, a company, or a Native American Reservation. This happens: you keep to yourself, don’t say too much, isolate, and accept the external conditions as something that can’t be changed. Do you feel small, powerless, and like you are not able to turn things around? How did a once sacred Chiropractic become an adult therapy for a handful of visits? Contracture. When we see brothers and sisters in our great profession accepting the decrees from society of what Chiropractic is, something individually and collectively dies. Every DC wants more without being more and wants to be paid more for actually doing less. My mentor, Dr. Joe Flesia, famously spoke of this as having the courage to help people in spite of their reluctance or downright resistance to being helped. Treating paradoxes as problems to be solved sure makes life more difficult than it needs to be.

These article titles are on the cover of Time Magazine’s health innovation issue: What Women Need (voluntary removal of breasts, uterus, and ovaries), Who Gets to be Healthy, The Robot Will See You Now, Solving Suicide, etc.

Contrary to popular thought, TNR was not created to solve the economic woes of Chiropractors. It was to bring about a paradigm change in health, not substitutes and imitations or attempting to solve disease as a problem instead of a paradox. It was about doing something that hadn’t been done, not a rehash of symptom and pain relief. To have a place of belonging for a minority of DCs who love serving people and being DCs. To have a group where you are encouraged to grow, to enlarge your vision, and to reach more people at a deeper and more profound level. A place to become the best version of yourself. It’s bigger than just your individual office success, although it includes that. It understands that health, education, and relationships are processes and not destinations. It understands that as once-in-a-lifetime DCs you can really create positive changes in people. By curing or removing symptoms, you can never get beyond where you were before the symptoms. As much symptom relief as can be done will not raise the resonation of a single person.

Artificial Intelligence is the cover girl for this year’s model of science. There is so much written about every man made intelligence and its inherent weaknesses and bias (helps only specific people, not all people) that the intelligence that runs and creates the universe is all but ignored and forgotten. The most amazing part is that it’s also ignored by brother and sister DCs for fear of not being a good comrade and a card carrying member of the disease appreciation society. Have a respect and awe for the mystery of life instead. Each time you see, read of, or hear of a miracle of science, understand it was there before and that something had to create it before it could be discovered. Moses could have discovered electricity. It’s always been there for usage by anyone, not just those with money or those doing the research. There is an infinite consciousness, something so above and beyond man’s reasoning and logic, but you must tap into it. It doesn’t tap you on the shoulder and ask you to use it.

DCME confidential

Question 1: If I don’t see much clinical improvement in the first six months of DCME case, do I have to put them on a wellness type fee system?

Answer: Great question. The answer is, of course, no. Many high level TNR members are discovering that people in difficult circumstances often take multiple rounds of Level 2 type care. Do you remember the concentric circles and Baseline Assessment? By the time something passes through the threshold of the nerve system, it’s chronic. It’s not unusual to have a person on a year or more of Initial Intensive Care.

Question 2: Is it okay to have more than one DCME within a single family?

Answer: Of course! A DCME must function within an individual’s ability and willingness. Their ability and willingness, not yours. Don’t always ask the parents to choose who needs it more. If they want both to start up, don’t get in the way!
