TNR Happenings 10.9.23

Miyagi Is On November 4th

What is mastery all about? Is it about Facebook likes, artificial intelligence, marketing, selling (profit over people, a la the drug industry), going viral, etc.? Building the process of mastery in your office, as well as your life, takes insight, courage, and endurance. In a 154-character world, the odds are very much against you developing mastery in health, healing, vitality, etc. Your spouses, family, and friends will dissuade you. Have you experienced that look of disinterest? Some will distance themselves from you. You will notice fewer weeds in your garden, that’s for sure. "Why bother? It’s not worth it", they will say. The world is heavily slanted toward disease, drugs, amputation, vaccines, chemo, and radiation. Pursuing health is considered unnecessary, silly, and a waste of time and money. The price of freedom is pain caused by evolving from your previous limiting beliefs. You must be willing to come out of pride to courage and admit that your previous beliefs and assumptions were false, limiting, and won’t allow you to enter the health arena, only used in society for disease control (a symptom relief puppet). Developing mastery takes time and urgency and doesn’t cut corners, but the sense of being prepared in life is priceless. Capable in all circumstances is a way of life. Do you have what it takes to pursue this ability that does not shy away from difficult cases? Newbies, as well as more established members, will find more than what they were looking for, and each is welcomed. Discounted tickets are available until October 27th.  One Head-to-Head date remains as of this writing.

Christmas on the Reservation

This creeps up on us so fast every year. This year, Christmas on the Reservation will be on December 7th & 8th. Get your fundraising hats on. There are lots of cool and unique ideas for fundraising. Mix it up and top last year’s efforts. Get your competitive juices flowing.

As you know, we have already served an urgent need for underwear and socks in Frazer. I have a feeling that we will be asked to do more this year than any previous year. Think of multiplying fish and loaves of bread. Remember the tunas and whales (large donors) that always put us over the top. All members are invited and encouraged to bring family, colleagues, and VIP practice members to Christmas on the Reservation.  If you are self-conscious about reaching out to people you know and don’t know, read the Mind of Miyagi.

From the Mind of Miyagi

This might require a reading or two to gleam the essence, but here goes. We are programmed by the society we are raised in to anticipate resistance. Murphy’s Law, no easy day, expect the worst, and other sources of memes, limiting beliefs and assumptions. It can never be easy…or can it? In every Report of Findings and every conversation we have with practice members, spouses, friends, and people at large, we brace ourselves for pushback, resistance, disapproval, etc. At SuperAcademy in years past (one member has a sh#% eating grin on her face right now), we would have the grumpiest, most skeptical person in our group play the role of a tough practice member. The doctor would enter the room sheepishly and awkwardly and sit next to the cranky ‘practice member’. With their heart pounding in their chest, the doctor would go over all the technical, real doctor mumbo jumbo, and then the practice member would say, ‘Okay, can I pre-pay for a year?’ The doctor would be dumbfounded. I’m glad most of the doctors were younger and tended to be healthy. If not, we would have witnessed heart attack after heart attack.

This anticipation of resistance rules our lives. Going out and talking about something that potentially cost you nine years of your life to practice is terrifying for most. You can’t go out in public without feeling so self-conscious. Ever take a look at paramedics? They tend to be analytical, dorky, or geeky, but everyone gives them a free pass because of their connection to saving your life. You don’t ask about the skin color or vax status of a firefighter putting the fire out in your house. How about nurses? Many are smokers, and have a huge tendency to be overweight, unfit, and incredibly unhealthy. How can this be when they are on the front lines of health/disease? It’s because they serve a vital function in the world of disease. Like celebrity status, it’s a free pass so they can serve society and do its dirty work.

This doesn’t get better with time. Who would go door to door after you’ve been in practice for a few years? Who would do public events at any age? In TNR, as you know, there is an emphasis placed on retention and referral inside of your office; the trick is you could do it at any time. You have this ability that you can call upon for the rest of your life. You will have to enter into difficult dialogues with your spouse, kids, etc. You are going to experience disapproval and resistance every day of your life. Get used to it; don’t let it alter your enthusiasm. Health is not disease, and disease is not health. Your ego and social survival feast on confusion, ambiguity, chaos, feeling inferior, overwhelming odds, what everyone says on the internet, etc. Purpose and meaning in life do not come from consensus, being a people pleaser, or being a non-paid historian for what is believed (analytical). This is like the people who love wearing masks and eagerly look forward to being punished and locked down again. They see punishment and obedience as substitutes and imitations for love.

Can you stay Above the Line even when the majority around you wants to be Below the Line? There were many comments last week about the Matt Braun quote and how it put a finger on the pulse of the warrior. If you didn’t initially feel it, don’t worry; it’s in there. It just has to be developed and mined. Keep at it. “Don’t let the bastards bring you down” is a saying my mentor drove into my consciousness repeatedly. I didn’t know it or realize it then; I do now.

DCME Confidential

Confidential-150x150

Question 1: Have I been asleep all these years, or was I not ready to hear your words? DCME/Level 2s are nothing like Level 1, are they? I can’t apply the same techniques and strategies that I do for Level 1. They chew them up and spit them out.

Answer: Well stated. Everyone thinks that when you get paid, your problems are over. In reality, they are just beginning.

Question 2: My Level 2/DCME will not give me their best effort. It was raining and 52 degrees, and they refused to do an out-of-office activity. What should I do?

Answer: Call Dr. Julie and schedule a H2H. DCME/Level 2 is not a democracy, and it’s been described as a benevolent dictatorship. You are being played. This is kind of like your dog biting you. They don’t respect you, there has not been a bond formed, they won’t get the results they are capable of, and you won’t see miracles.
