TNR Happenings 9.9.24

The Tao of TNR Is This Saturday!

My favorite part of the training is the look on participants' faces when they start to understand the theme and think, “Oh, boy this is deep! What has he got up his sleeve this time?” This type of consciousness is not found on the web, social media platforms, podcasts, etc. It’s out of the world of the ordinary. Each of these new orientations to life is not simply to be listened to and forgotten; instead, they are to be plugged into your life, and then you can watch the trajectory change. All facets of your life brighten. Even if you have reasons to believe you aren’t great, hear about them. Know they are available whenever you wish to be out of the socially conditioned limitations of being a doctor/healer.

Love Has No Color News

Less than 90 days separates us from our next adventure on the Reservation. Giving gifts to the kids is beyond the government rations of low quality food, welfare checks, or used handouts that they receive. All of our gifts are like what we would give our own kids. The gift giving is blessed by the very people who help with the fundraising to purchase the gifts for kids in need. We have skin in the game and personally hand out gifts with each kid’s name on them. We experience it with them. Other groups give out toys that impersonally proclaim girl, third grade. That’s not how we roll. We play with them, love them, blend with them, and share in their excitement. It’s a form of community. It’s not enough in this world to merely receive love and good fortune; the other side of the coin is also meant to share, not hoard. We have much to be grateful for; these kids grow up in an at-risk environment from the start. In every practice there are members who will gladly help out if asked. Some of the personal touches we share with donors are certificates, letters of thanks, hand signed t-shirts, etc. Many of our donors donate year after year.

From the Mind of Miyagi

Have you ever wondered why the nine years of college training does not equip all DCs to be ultra-successful? This includes sole owners, associates or independent contractors, airport DCs, or Joint DCs. Baking cookies (how to be a doctor) is only one half of the coin. What about relationships of trust, acquiring new people and retaining them, serving people, putting people before profit, the rescue dog mentality, doing the right thing, or confrontational tolerance? If you genuinely look at it, the training weighs a DC down. It limits them to giving people what they want: pain and symptom relief instead of engaging people in the PROCESS of health restoration from the inside-out instead of the outside-in. In the world of the ordinary, people expect doctors to do something to them and are exonerated from any participation in the process of regaining and expressing health. The insurance company (or government if in Canada) will take care of the person, become their source of authority, and they have no responsibility. It’s an illusion, a form of social conditioning that can cost someone their life. People around them will discourage them if they have any other ideas. The assassins are always closer than your enemies.

Being strong does not even begin to describe the type of person it takes to have an orientation of life that is antithetical to all of those you know and love. Everywhere around you, in subtle and not-so-subtle ways, the world of the ordinary is putting pressure on you so that you accept your role and keep coloring within the lines. What if you knew better? Health is preferable to disease. Would you pretend that you didn’t know? Would you keep your mouth shut and say all the right things to make people feel good about having disease? Disease in our culture is a way of being special, of belonging to a club you don’t want to belong to, even if it destroys your quality of life, including your life. You have a diagnosis and the nod of approval from society.

Did you know that China outlawed the spiritual element of acupuncture when communism took over the country? People were punished or put in jail if they used it. The spiritual element was considered a threat to the agenda of controlling and dominating people. Did you know that all Samurai swords had to be surrendered in Japan and melted down or destroyed? A whole way of life was outlawed up to and including being beheaded. Those who refused and kept their treasure at significant risk are now rewarded with swords valued at millions of dollars. In our beloved Chiropractic, the spirit, innate, inside-out, has been regulated and outlawed. On some Reservations, there are still ancient ones that can heal what hospitals refer to as the morgue. The very pure principle was stripped away and replaced by analytical, closed-minded people who are handicapped by technology, drugs, amputation, chemo, and radiation. Most people would never submit to a shaman, even if not doing so would cost them their lives. I have witnessed many people saying they would never go to a Chiropractor or witch doctor. They would rather suffer than change their minds. The way of the ordinary world reigns supreme. The Tao is wasted on the many and, as always, reserved for the few.

There are solutions all around us; however, it takes strong, rebellious people who can successfully challenge prevailing thought. Most have been beaten down, put in their places, bound, and gagged. This is not new. As with every political coup or radical change of thought, the first people rounded up are learned people, artists, poets, and people with their own thoughts. They are imprisoned, tortured, and put in their places. I used to be able to tell a DC from anybody. There was a certain flair, a wildness in their eyes. Not today. So many are mild-mannered, sophisticated, make logical sense, have lost their edge, and are a face in the crowd instead of standing out. Designer glasses, a close-cropped beard, and skinny jeans are the rage. The spirit of adventure and standing before people in truth has been replaced by a stoic, analytical frown of not knowing what’s going on, similar to medical doctors, dentists, and psychologists…not heroes willing to put it on the line for the sacredness of life. Anything outside of their logic or training doesn’t make sense and is dismissed. Like fundamentalists, scientists, religious people, or politicians, they are never going to change their minds. “If I can’t help someone, they can’t be helped.” What a dangerous, slippery slope of being arrogant, selfish, and refusing to acknowledge limitations. Who must pay the price when a doctor says nothing can be done? Hmmm.

Miracle Training

Every few years, I send out packets of MT propaganda to former members of TNR who I have enjoyed a deep relationship with. I got a phone call from a past member who wanted to ask me about my new activity. What he really wanted was to impose his wisdom (of something he knows nothing about or ever will) on me and offer me some well-intentioned advice. In his constructive criticism, he insisted that I should be working with a MD to give credibility, drugs, infusion therapy, and other therapies that would also steer famous people to me.

He couldn’t get that Miracle Training is the evolution of over four decades of serving people, and it is not missing anything. That does not mean it stops evolving because it is constantly evolving, as all reading this has witnessed. I told him that an ancient principle states that when people can’t understand something, they attempt to reframe it with the familiar that makes them feel comfortable. He proudly proclaimed, “I could never see myself or any other DC doing what you are doing.” As I was getting ready to pull the plug on our conversation, I told him that just because he doesn’t understand MT, he can still refer people in the fight of their lives. He arrogantly said he could never do this because he has to understand something before he buys into it. Click!
