Miyagi Was EPIC!

Everyone was blindfolded and marched single-file into the unknown. Enter Tim and the party began. Who wanted to disappoint Tim with less than their best ‘red line’ effort? How could he get your best effort without barking or screaming at you? Power vs Force 101. Chains, sleds, teamwork, pre-testing, dodge ball, draft day of making teams, carrying a 150 pound ‘dummy,’ lots of laughs (and groans), and muscle soreness in muscles you didn’t know you had. Everyone had a different level of expertise and they brought their best to every event. The teamwork and strategy reminded us of our DC/CA connections at home. We all learned how to be a leader (and follower) with a full harvest moon guiding the way. Scrumptious food was served on Friday evening (which tasted so good after so much exertion) and Saturday at lunch in that fabulous sun at the outdoor Pallis Café. We dove into the treasure chest of the new Miyagi workbook on Saturday for some high level concepts. Saturday’s guest star allowed all participants to look behind the veil of what goes on in ‘Miyagiland’ and was able to answer all questions from the group live. The adjustments, acupuncture and demonstrations stopped the show. Most participants agreed that it was the finest Miyagi yet!

From our special guest, excercise and fitness trainer extraordinaire, Time Sharpe:
The New Renaissance and it’s wonderful leaders,

I wanted to thank you all for the opportunity to host a fitness expo. I had lots of fun and I hope and trust the doctors did as well. They all seemed like good warm people that I would have enjoyed spending more time with.

Thank you again,

Tim

A testimonial from Miyagi student VF about the seminar:

The Myagi program is an experience, an adventure and a state of mind. This is intimate elite training for chiropractors who are the Navy SEALs of the profession. These are the warriors who do not rest because they are dedicated to sharpening their skills to a level that is incomprehensible to the average chiropractor. Drop any expectations, focus, breathe, and be ready for anything at Miyagi because Dr. Kevin is going to take your mind and body for a ride into the unknown. Never before will you get an intimate understanding of the invisible – how to really “hear” what your patients need from you, how to preserve your personal power, how to adjust with intuition, how to anchor your spirit so that every interaction with a patient comes from a place of compassion and confidence. Miyagi is a first class all the way where a small group of spirited docs come together for friendship, one-on-one instruction, delicious meals served with love by Dr. Kevin’s wife (Dr. Julie), and wisdom taught by a master that you will never find anywhere else. You become a part of the Pallis family and a chiropractic family of like-minded people dedicated to excellence. You never know what to expect at Miyagi and that’s they way it should be. Oh, and bring your sneakers!

Kenny Smoker Wrote a Foreward to the “Miracles” Book

The holiest of all the spots on earth is where an ancient hatred has become a present love. He wrote some very beautiful and insightful words about TNR and LHNC. You may need to have the Kleenex box within reach. Click here to read it: miracles

Practice Tip of the Week

Collect written and video testimonials from your practice members. This is a huge trend among the Gen X and Millennials seeking the best for their kids in the arena of health. Many DCs outside of TNR are still reluctant and slow to accept the trend; only offering pain and symptom relief. If you had an outline of what a great testimonial looks like (written and video) they would have a point of reference. A hint here: it’s not about symptoms, it’s about what they aren’t able to do; things they love to do but can’t. The emotional toll it is taking on their lives. With the billions (trillions?) of marketing dollars available to the disease industry, the #1 seller is still the testimonial. You can archive these on your website and emails, send them to potential new patients, put them on your blog, etc. Your job is to collect 10, 25 or even 50 in the next couple of weeks. Implementation is the easy and fun part!

Referrals Revisited

Everyone wants referrals, but is that enough? Asking for them is a giant step in the right direction. Referrals stem from exceeding practice members expectations, not meeting them. Do you believe you are worthy of referrals? Do you get people to your HAS? Do you agree with people who don’t want to accept your recommendations? Learn to disagree with people who don’t want to participate or help themselves…but don’t make them wrong.

Christmas on the Reservation Dates Announced!

Kenny Smoker has stated that December 15th and 16th works better than December 8th and 9th. So the new dates will be December 15-16th, 2016. Lots of fun activities are planned including tons of adjusting, the giving out of gifts and food, another jail visit and perhaps even an indoor jail concert. Our gift collecting and fundraising has already begun! Here is the Crowdrise Link: https://www.crowdrise.com/christmas-on-the-reservation. Please share on social media and get involved.
