The Tao of TNR Is On September 19th
What separates doctors and healers today? Computer billing software, social media posting, technique, X-ray usage, BSOs, marketing and advertising, etc. These are necessary for the business side, while healing is the other side of the same coin. An artist needs no computer; with Canva and Photoshop, the lines of expertise are blurred, and amateurs are allowed into the fray. There is nothing wrong or right with this; today it’s the way, or is it? So much comes down to: are you a Pro or a Joe? I have been in more than a few offices, and what never ceases to amaze me is the person behind the healing. When a person first meets the doctor, do they think the doctor is average or merely competent, or do they get an amazing flutter of hope that says something great is going to happen? The same thing happens when you visit a dentist, massage therapist, real estate agent, or car salesman for the first time. When our kids started driving, and we looked for a used car for them, I made sure it was an experience, not just a transaction. Each of them has a unique buying experience they will keep forever. My daughter, Christy, will never forget buying her first bike. A man with a pirate's patch on his eye (really!) made her feel like there was nobody else but her as he measured her little arms and legs. He moved her molecules. Now when you walk into their epic office, no matter what or who is on the floor, it’s imbued by that same feeling. The same happens in my son’s and other daughter’s offices: something great is going to happen. Expect miracles.
It’s just too easy to be relegated as another vendor, competitor, Facebook review, etc. Nobody gets to claim your identity, your essence, or your value. You must claim this by yourself, and regardless of the online and offline chatter, you must not give in to the chirping of people who are not in the know. Your presence and your hands do much more talking in non-verbal communication than your words. When you have Tao or the presence, people notice. Those who don’t notice aren't discerning and will group you into average or mediocre. They don’t know any better. They wouldn’t know a diamond if they had it in their hands. Keep moving forward with training. Call to reserve your spot today.
Love Has No Color
As with all visible things, there is always something invisible behind them. Major happenings on the Reservation are being cooked like a stew in a slow cooker. Even though it looks like only two major things happen each year (Boot Camp and Christmas on the Reservation), Love Has No Color’s activities happen year-round. Just ask Dr. Julie. I’ll have more to tell as these other events unfold. Stay tuned and thank you for your donations, support, and participation.
From the Mind of Miyagi
Are there too many Joes and not enough Pros? There used to be a reality TV show that featured Pros and amateurs (Joes) competing against each other. In the gym, the Joes were equally as good, and some were better than the Pros. In practice situations where things were carefully controlled and monitored (akin to a computer), there was not much difference. But when the target practice ended, and the real shooting began, you could instantly see the difference. My life has been dedicated to looking under the tip of the iceberg, and what I have seen more often is a lot of Joes acting like Pros. That’s why it excites me every day to see doctors discover this hidden ingredient and watch how it transforms their lives and the lives around them.
With the advent of the computer and social media, the threshold to doing almost anything has been lowered so much that it’s a joke. Are we talking about dating, influencing, acting, celebrity status, etc.? Try getting a date without the crutch of a dating app. You can pretend to ride a motorcycle at over 200 miles per hour on a video game, but to actually do it is not in the cards for you. Can you play a musical instrument, or does the computer play an instrument for you? These entertainment games aren’t going to kill you; they are just substitutions and imitations. They’re part of our culture. When a person is sick, dying, or in a must-win situation, they think they know the Pro, but they don’t. There are too many substitutes and imitation Joes out there. It’s the same as thinking you can navigate online dating and not get catfished.
If you went 9 years to school, you are not a Joe, period. Use your abilities to their full extent and don’t become complacent. That is what training provides each and every member. How can a TNR-trained doctor/healer be in the same sentence as other doctors, physiotherapists, Reiki practitioners, massage therapists, or New Age charlatans? We don’t become Pros to relinquish our expertise to the dumbed-down world of Joe consensus. What makes sense to a Joe is nonsense to a Pro. They live in separate worlds.
Most people will enter the world of the dragon only a few times in their lifetime. Acting like a Joe or using a Joe for a substitute instead of a once-in-a-lifetime doctor can cost you your life. Quitting, saying, “that’s just the way it was” or “it was such a courageous fight” are ways of covering the HUGE difference between Pros and Joes. Don’t agree with people when they foist their Joe assumptions upon you and don’t sheepishly nod your head in approval just to seek acceptance. You know better. Stand for something sacred, or you will be relegated to the populated, hollowed-out pile of Joes.
Miracle Training
Miracle Training requires the ability to see past appearances. When a person presents themselves to me, they have always had a string of doctors, medical tourism, drugs, operations, or experimental treatments in tow with them. They desperately want me to read every line, every diagnosis, and every opinion of hopelessness. They mistakenly think I need to piggyback from what has been done previously. I usually throw the information in the trash, but have been known to burn it in the Sacred Grief Pile. Some are insulted, some nervously giggle, and others declare to themselves, this is the guy!
Imagine if you looked at an overweight person and said, according to appearances, this person can’t lose weight. In reality, this person can lose weight; the real solution is to draw out this intrinsic ability. This is the same with healing. No matter how advanced the illness, disease, or circumstances, healing is the answer. Whether you have been diagnosed or not, healing is the answer. Let’s say you know that you are 340 pounds. The decision to lose weight and follow through are the factors that matter, not the label placed upon it. Most people rest on the diagnosis as a crutch, resignation, or a white flag that gives a scientific reason not to achieve results.
Looking through the darkness to see the gold is not a skill that most clinicians have. It takes too much Tao, time, resources, and training to develop and, after all, why bother when people line up for pain relief. It’s not a matter of either or; it’s the knowing that you have the ability to handle both. The Inner Reward Cascade gets activated and you experience purpose, passion, and fulfillment. Joy becomes present in your life that can’t be bought; it must be earned. Peace runs through you with a calmness, certainty, and knowing that few ever experience. The fear, burden, and guilt of having to fix people evaporates, and health is allowed to reinstate itself, instead of letting disease and suffering take center stage.
DCME Confidential
Question 1: I have a few incidental people who come in for ‘my back, my back.’ They come in with all of the dramas they are involved with, their disappointments in life, and recently started critiquing my adjustments, saying they are worse, not better. How do I handle this?
Answer: They don’t get a vote. Don’t jump on the hamster wheel. If you are not careful, they will get under your skin with their thoughtlessness. Move on.
Question 2: A relative of mine who lives nearby is suffering terribly with a condition in my wheelhouse. Do you have any ideas on how to convince them to come in?
Answer: I do, but I won’t share them with you here. Relatives don’t make great practice members. They see you differently and won’t have the necessary respect for you and your authority. In addition, you will be blamed for their lack of achievement.
