Sacred Relationship Experience

Yes, there are a few tickets remaining. If you are even vaguely interested in attending, don’t let this opportunity slip away. Like the 7-Figure Academy, it may be years before it's repeated, if ever. A special guest star (female) will be teaching with me. It’s all about solutions and individuation, a term coined by Swiss psychologist, CG Jung. It roughly means cleaning up your own personal emotional baggage instead of demanding your spouse adhere to your expectations and opinions. It will be a very experiential workshop with heavy participation. A sacred sweat ceremony that you will never forget will be included. Remember, if your spouse chooses not to go, respect their wishes and come stag. They, as well as your children, will benefit from your growth.

Practice tip of the week

Completely stop doing deals with people. No exceptions. Keep to your fee structure. Pretend you don’t have the authority to change your recommendations or the fees. Pay absolutely no attention to insurance guidelines and instead be in integrity with your recommendations. Don't be adversely influenced by limiting insurance or industry norms or factors. You always have the ability to care for people gratuitously if you so choose for a specific period of time. Out of your whole office, there may be one or two. They are the exception, rather than the rule.

From the Mind of Miyagi

black

Recently another member of the Don't Quit Your Day Job got together with me to practice. A friend said that he could play the saxophone and he would love to jam with us. I thought this would be exciting to have a different musical instrument in our band. So he joined us.

The alleged saxophonist sat down and started to blow the saxophone and instead of music, it was gibberish. He said he didn’t like the setlist, the reed in the saxophone wasn’t to their liking, he couldn’t hear the music, and otherwise made excuses to hide the fact that HE COULDN’T PLAY THE SAXOPHONE! He got angry, frustrated, and annoyed. How could he get angry, frustrated, and annoyed when he didn’t have the training or experience? How can this be? You should have seen the facial gestures and body language when this all unraveled. I couldn’t wait to sit in front of the computer and write the story for the TNR Happenings. How could he say he could play when he couldn't? Acute onset retardation (AOR) is everywhere. He got EXPOSED. In the Below the Line world, the whole game is to comment about things from politics, to religion and diseases but to not get exposed as not knowing squat. So many people like to sound important and influential about things when they really are not.

Being exposed is not dedicated to saxophone players. It’s also with people when they get sick. They go to a doctor or two and if not cured, they adopt the story of why it can’t be cured,  when in fact there are solutions out there, they are just not aware of them. They know nothing about health, only disease. Think chronic illness including chronic pain: they got chronic because of doctors pretending they know what they are doing. A make-pretend Miyagi. How about in relationships? People get exposed as not having solutions and adding their names only to the problem end of things. Divorce or just being roommates is an accepted part of more than 50% of relationships in our culture. How about parenting? When their kid has x,y,z and they just don’t have the answers, so they accept the story of why resolutions are out of the question. They got exposed.

In the ’60s, hockey with Bobby Orr and the big, bad, Bruins in Boston was like Tom Brady and the Patriots today. I loved playing hockey and it shaped my life. With 3 players injured, I was called up to the traveling team. When I got on the ice, I got slapped around, outskated, out hustled, and outplayed in every aspect. I complained to the referee that the other team was slashing me, holding me, interfering with me, etc. and he just laughed at me. I complained to the coach and he said something that changed my life. You can’t play. You are not ready for this level of competition and he sat me on the bench and didn’t play me for the remainder of the game.

When I went home after the game, my parents asked me how the game was? I said it was okay when it was not. I was fuming and embarrassed and was formulating doing something about it. I picked myself up off the floor of self-pity and I started working out with an old set of sand-filled weights until the wee hours of the night. I vowed never to feel that way again and to up my game. The feeling of being exposed created a lasting impression with me. Years later when my son was playing hockey he would be on the pond out back after a frustrating loss until the wee hours with the lights on practicing, shooting, and getting better.

Most DCs don’t mind being exposed as being nothing more of a sprain and strain kind of doctor. It's ok to be this type of DC, but all the pain relief in the world won’t change the paradigm of health or increase the resonation of a world that produces so much Black Flag of Death (war, pollution, oppression, violence toward woman and children, greed, racism, incarceration, drugs, alcohol, etc.) Moving toward DCMEs is not for the faint of heart as it will expose those not properly trained or prepared. Sticking with adult, musculoskeletal pain relief will shield you from ever being exposed, but it will also numb your spirit. Step up and give up the fear of being exposed forever.

DCME confidential

Confidential-150x150

Question 1: I have a potential DCME case and I just don’t have the guts to present the case value. It’s over $9,000 plus. Can I just wimp out and do three months of Initial Care and then put them on wellness? I’m much more comfortable doing it that way.

Answer: Your comfort will have to wait on this one. You are crippling the practice member and you are hiding from your own greatness. If I was your patient and in the throes of disease and I found out you were holding out on me, there would be consequences. By the way, your clinical results will echo your lack of belief in yourself and ‘tic’.

Question 2: One of my DCME cases is coming up on 6 months of care and the clinical results have been slow. Do I do another round of DCME care or offer them wellness?

Answer: Because you are asking this question, I believe you have the answer. They need another round of full power DCME care. When seeing heavy-hitter illnesses, 6 months is a drop in the bucket. Don’t be so quick to put people on wellness because the clinical results will reflect this softening.
