The Grief Retreat Is On May 15th & 16th
It’s all been said before.
Boot Camp Dates Announced
The dates for the 2026 Boot Camp are August 13th, 14th, and 15th. This is an opportunity to serve the needs of the kids and adults on the Fort Peck Reservation once again. Plans are fluid and flexible, but Fun Days, food handouts, and community service are at the top of our list of priorities. Don’t miss out on our outing this year. There is nothing like Love Has No Color in all of our profession. Every once in a while, we have a surprise for participants. One year, it was an authentic sweat lodge; another year, it was going to see buffalo and a double rainbow; and another year, we helped seniors and disabled elders with service and food. Bringing guests for more manpower is strongly encouraged!
From the Mind of Miyagi
A question I hear frequently is what is the difference between the mind and the body organ called the brain. The mind does not have a location; you can’t touch it, and yet it absolutely controls what you can and can’t do. It can either liberate you or imprison you, based on your level of consciousness. The anatomical brain is a relay station that processes and assists the body. At the moment of death, the cells are still present, but there is no life; they shut down and begin to deteriorate. The mind can never die.
If you compare the anatomical brain of a homeless person and a doctor, you will notice more similarities than differences. Subconscious programs are not stored in the brain, they exist in the mind/consciousness. Think of the mind/consciousness as surrounding you like oxygen. In turn, it communicates or connects with other minds in the universal network of minds. What is stored in your subconscious controls you without your knowing it. Willpower is a poor substitute for this subconscious programming. A smoker knows of the harm caused by this deadly habit and yet is at a loss for stopping it. Once a belief, assumption, or program takes root in the subconscious, it owns you, without you seeing it or being able to stop it. Disease, mental and emotional illness, the will to live, addiction, and PTSD are forms of invisible disease that medical care and science have proved to be of little or no value.
When the levels of consciousness were introduced by David Hawkins back in the 80’s, there was finally a model that demonstrated what was intuited centuries before by ancient men and women of knowledge and healing. A lower-consciousness person wears sunglasses that can see only problems, limitations, anti-prosperity, restrictions, sickness, lack, struggle, and suffering. A higher resonating person wears sunglasses that are attuned to solutions, abundance, and prosperity, rather than ego-consciousness that revels in conflict, getting even, violence, being right, being a victim, etc.
No matter the education or skill level, consciousness rules. A highly educated person with low consciousness levels tends to be rigid, arrogant, a fundamentalist (think religion/politics/covid here), always right, or supports agendas rather than doing what is best for people. Every day, you see and hear of undereducated people with relatively higher levels of consciousness who do quite well in life. You have neighbors in this category who don’t have a college education.
When you have higher levels of consciousness, you see and experience things differently. You remain curious, have less attraction to trending social media concepts and violence, and you see through things that other, more highly educated people fall for. Think of covid here and all of the doctors who insisted on flying in formation with the mandates of government officials. Always remember, the SS and the Gestapo were merely branches of the government. Only looking back were the atrocities recognized. People could smell burning humans and looked away, fearing only for their lives. Brutal violence, killings, intimidation, and force were the mainstays of a feudal, primitive culture.
Technology and AI are trumped up as being saviors of the human race; they are going to answer all of society’s problems. Like the next cancer cure, it’s hard to separate the sizzle from the steak: the advertised claims (billions and billions spent on advertising and propaganda while they hide behind fake science and factoids) and what is real. In all societies past and present, it’s the mind/consciousness that gives one clues as to what is real and what is propaganda. The first people eliminated in any fascist regime are the educated, the artisans, the wealthy, and the poets who can see through the scams; they are enemies to the people in charge because of this quality of mind. Being able to be discerning and thinking with a high level consciousness is now becoming extinct in the age of the podcasts, social media platforms, and celebrities; they do the thinking for you and you surrender your thinking and merely agree with them. MEOWWW!
DCME Confidential
Question 1: I have a sneaking suspicion that my DCME/Level 2 is exaggerating their condition. Is this possible?
Answer: Sickness attracts attention and provides a sense of specialness in our society. Even if they are, they usually are unaware of it, as it’s under the radar of their consciousness. Some will give up the role of being sick, and others cling to it with their lives. Do your best, and know that your patient's feedback is not always accurate.
Question 1: My DCME says they are telling the world about their care and miraculous results, but they have not referred anybody. What gives?
Answer: The function of a DCME case is different from a superficial strain or sprain. They have no duty to refer or not. Your function is to serve them. If they refer, great; if they don’t, that’s great also.
