TNR Happenings aug 3

The trip to the Rez begins!

I want to congratulate all members of TNR for helping to make something near impossible happen. A small group of TNR members and TNR ambassadors are making their way to the Reservation on Wednesday. This is so historic for so many reasons: the restrictions, resistance, bureaucracy, and politics that are trying to prevent us from helping kids and adults living in third-world conditions. It’s easy to get stubborn and self-important and to lose your adaptability whenever obstacles come your way: the old "my way or the highway" routine. Being rigid might seem like a solution at the time but the wood-type rigidity will prevent the solution from manifesting.

I can’t tell you how many dozens upon dozens of missionary type groups have completely canceled their efforts for this year. Some have the audacity to be doing remote missionary trips where they say hi via a computer. One group even said they were doing this for the recipients' own benefit by social distancing. It's kind of like remotely saving survivors on a deserted island after a plane crash: we can’t help you, but we can communicate with you and tell you what you’re missing out on. Reality is so completely different than virtual. Their members spoke about it being too inconvenient to get there due to the quarantining and being tracked, etc. They are all legit concerns, but they are not finding a way. What are the people to do who are receiving the aid? Their needs do not go away, they are only intensified during this mass hysteria. We are the only group outside the Reservation to be invited onto the Reservation by permission of the Tribal Council.

There has been lots and lots of effort that came into play to make this trip happen, such as trips to the Reservation, countless phone conversations, and calling upon our 16-year relationship with Kenny and the Tribal Council. We sent a letter to the Tribal Council back in June to ask for their guidance for this year's Boot Camp/Fun Days. (A copy of this letter was included in the July 13th edition of the TNR Happenings.) Thank you to our members for doing a great job with fundraising. We have raised enough money to supply a whopping 400 families with an amazing assortment of high quality, non-perishable food, and household products.

TNR training in action

When sudden occurrences happen in life, sometimes you ask yourself, "Was I dreaming?" I was speaking with a Chiropractor this morning who said his landlord strolled in on Wednesday of last week and said, "By the way, I sold the building and you have to be out by the end of August."  Now, remember, this Chiropractor has been there for 10 years, he is in the middle of seeing lots of people, and then, from out of the blue, this hits him. What is he to do? This is similar to so many things in life. Your opinion, permission, or feelings aren't taken into consideration; it's more like, "deal with it." In between practice members he called his wife and drops the bombshell. She totally freaked out. She said they should sue the bastard and she went into the survival mode of fear. This response revealed her personal history and the fact that she has had no TNR training.

Not our TNR trained guy. Yes, it bothered him, but he was able to care for the remainder of his people that day. Then the next day, Thursday, was his day off, so he got busy. He quieted down his wife and within a couple of days he had found a larger space in a desirable location of the town that he had just purchased a house in. Imagine that!

We are defined by what we do with the curveballs that are thrown at us in life. Do we do what low-resonating people do: wail and gnash our teeth about how bad the world is and how small and insignificant we are? Or do we create an opportunity out of it? It all depends upon your training, your resonation level, and the people in your inner circle. Do the people in your inner circle give you the freedom to reach further or, like the crabs in a box, are they always pulling you down? It is so hard to tell if you lack awareness and training. The vantage point of an eagle standing in a field with grass in front of its eyes is so much different than if he flies above the field where he can clearly see all the mice, rats, rabbits, etc. with the very same eyes. From the vantage point of standing, the grass obscured what was in the field. We are conditioned to cave, fail, or just give up when our back is against the wall or when external circumstances are not favorable. Some tell their kids and grandkids about what it was like to be in the Great Depression, the Greatest Generation, etc. They carry the grievances and hard times like a boulder of granite on their shoulders only too willing to tell the story of woe for anyone silly enough to listen. There they wait for others to make it all right: like surrogate parents telling them how they should feel, what they should do, how they should act, and listening to politicians and people of authority instead of granting themselves their own authority.

TNR trained doctors have something that most other people don't have. You have training in principles that are high-resonating and, if given a chance, you will change the world. Are you aware of the fact that the same minds that are making decisions and public policy are like the same low-resonating minds that created war, racism, violence, drugs, crime? This is almost like the famous metaphor where someone moved your X in one of those mall diagrams: you are here. No matter how much force, laws, or fines are meted out, they are not even close to a solution; and yet this group will go to the grave arguing that they did find a solution. They didn’t!

Do you want to do something for humanity? Blow the roof off your practice. Be that person people travel thousands of miles to see. Demonstrate your truth. You can disagree, but don’t lecture people about how stupid they are when they let others tell them what to do. Their resonation doesn’t allow them to see clearly, much like the eagle on the ground with grass in front of its eyes. Like the famous Hotel Fire metaphor, you’ve got to awaken as many people as you can. Then from a new vantage point of a new health awareness, they can see and decide for themselves to participate or withdraw their participation from low-resonating activities.
